So are these the hints that are supposed to make us focus our strategy?

Quote:
(S) Toward many passions was Dag inclined, but two were foremost on his mind

He was interested in the Unified Theory and unnatural deaths. He also had an interest in Chess.

Quote:
(T) With people, one finds value in faces, But the same cannot be said of places

You can't find value in a place? Where does one find value in a face? On money?

Quote:
(R) The puzzler's task transcends perspective

Are we supposed to ignore where (and from who's perspective) the clues are coming from?

Quote:
(A) How is a clue like a paper plate

Meant to be used only once and discarded.

Quote:
(T) Two are but a guide For how to steer your ride

The first two urns will show us how to find the third? Or two of our characters will guide us?

Quote:
(E) Ceci n'est pas un hareng rouge

This is not a red herring. Should we be looking back at the drawing on Mike's blog? Is it a real clue?

Quote:
(G) Even the most unsightly, menacing loser can reconstruct
himself in a respectable way

HIDEOUS NERD THREATENS HOT can be "reconstructed"? Anagram? (I personally hate anagram puzzles since the answer can be a needle in a haystack)

Quote:
(Y) Nessuno canta nello spazio

Nobody sings in space. I think this has to refer to HEIGH-HO! I’M THE GREATER SPACE CADET
