daaaaaaamn that was a rough 3 hours! sheesh... I don't think I've typed that much so fast in my life!
But man what a story... still so many loose ends... and some of them don't seem like the ends that would get resolved in the game... there's got to be more coming... perhaps that 11/4 transmission Durga will try to make... hopefully the flea's still around then ...
Now, back to listening and trying to fill in all the (?)'s... I'm at home, and I'm not using my nice headphones I have at work, and I can't tell if I'm missing of the audio signal either (some voices are unusually weak, echoey in the background)... so I may not have the transcripts 100% accurate by tonight. Anyone can feel free to PM me any corrections you see...
what an afternoon

oh and ...
(possible spoilers, but I'm lazy for tags )
as for the spec, personally I like the 'all happened in a few seconds' spec posted earlier... but it may not be. Someone else mentioned that the turning on of the artifact caused the same disruption as turning off, so I think what happened was turning on the artifact sent a part of Melissa to the past, and turning it off brought her back. But now that she's modified, back to the future (*grin*), and (assumedly) reintegrated with Durga (aka Melissa), how will she be different? After the incident at Chawla, she seems normal again... strange...

Normal? What do we know of normal?
[spec]What makes you think that the briefly crazy/rampant Durga wasn't Melissa simply returning to her standard processes?
If that were the case, and she reverted to her fully functional military AI persona, it's completely possible that not only would it have been her duty but her responsibility to kill them.[/spec]

what an afternoon
I don;t mean to sound authoritative, but anyone following Bungie Plots for a while learns to expect loose ends and questions. Hell, maybe even love them.

By the way, Jan said she was "new to Boston"
What do we think, in 2004, is Chawla Base in 2552?
Any ideas?

Greetings and salutations all!
I got back from my axon roughly an hour ago, but have been reading the posts ever since.
First and foremost, i'd like to send my thanks out to Angelo/Buzzkill for putting up with my inane ramblings, even though there wasn't any question/answer. I at first thought there might be some kind of information transfer necisarry (and tried giving them the gist of my intercepted transmissions), but it ended up being much simpler than that. Nonetheless, the service they provided was excellent.
Also, kudos to theBruce! Transcripts already? I am thusly amazed. Bravo Bravo Bravo!
You all rock!

Thanks... and yeah, they were going up as they came in. I consigned myself to sit in my chair and type frantically for 3 hours hehe it was fun... unfortunately, I finished (making and) cooking a pizza at 1:55 (eastern), 5 minutes before the first transmission... so I ate half my pizza (3 hours later), and the other half is still sitting, probably cold by now, in the oven, waiting to be eaten. *sigh* what timing...
