Don't dismiss the taxi company that quickly; good find i think. The company claims to be airport specialists, and air travel and airports came up quite a bit in discussion during project syzygy, and as there involvement has yet to be found out it could come in very useful.

On the subject of number theorems and sequences, the slashes on the firebox item description (the ///\\..etc cube) it turns out these can translate into numbers and an equation which inturn translates to a wee thing by the name of the hilbert cube, a topological concept by which a cube can be constructed with infinite internal dimensions. which would fit the prouct description in the catalogue (indeterminate mass etc. see what you think...

Hi there, newbie here! Has anyone considered the possibility that The S. Marchant with no first name and Sente with no second name may infact combine to form
superman
Sente Marchant? I don't know if it is of any relevance or aid but it just occured to me whilst reading various things. Also, as previously mentioned, the table which the firebox ad and the note from the academy are on are remarkably similar but the table shown in the background of the image on projectsyzygy.com looks like it is the same one. However, I think I might just be over-interpreting.. This looks like it is going to be an interesting quest and I look forward to going further with it
[edit] Did anyone also note that in the original firebox ad, there is no punctuation whereas throughout the rest of the catalogue all adverts are punctuated

This is probably only of interest to tanner but aparently the slashes can translate to a binary code and inturn that to the equation, my mate figured it out so I'll have to ask him to fill you in (he's another third of 'the underachievers' [his idea for a name despite our relative succes in life etc but hey...]) it'd be interesting to see a consise definite collection of conclusive clues/evidence, that everyone has collected just so we know where we 'are at' to coin an annoying phrase. then we can try and move forward.

If whoever thought this up can get Firebox in on the game then surely a taxi firm is no great task? I think i'll give this one a bash and phone. Surely 3.20am isnt too early for them!
Annoyingly i cant find any of my older Firebox ads to check if those arrows where there or not, but i seem to remember them. If they did mean anything at all in brail in the way of "ablba" or "abqa" as Kree pointed out - they do sound like words that someone who "go barreling down a hill at high speed listening to bangra" might know. Or it gives me that impression anyways.
Checking up on the Taxi/Magnet thing the website has a complete (but smaller) pic of what was shown in the mag. The other things behind the magnet also seem to be taxi companys. Ive also just seen it claims to be 24hrs and airport specialists - so whats the harm in trying?
EDIT: Right-o i tryed ringing Arrow Taxis on 01494 474764 and got through okay, i told the guy i saw an add and it said they where Airport Specialists, which they are, and they do have experience around Heathrow. All well and good so far, then i asked about if they would be able to take me to Taversen Square or The Old Town? A shot in the dark really, but after that he said i should ring back at 9am cause the systems down. I know the whole Arrow Taxis thing probably has nothing at all to do with it. But i have stupid amounts of spare time on my hands

I'd also like to confirm that Arrow Taxis are real- it would be strange for Firebox themselves to have one of their cards hanging around as they are based in south west London but Wycombe is about halfway between London and Oxford. I think the magnet is a real product, too.

Has anyone actually bought the magnet? Also, is there any way to get the catalog here in New York?
