there seems to be plenty of action on 23rd ave, i'd be happy to be the backup beekeeper thereabouts
or, rather, i think it makes more sense for me to backup Archon.
11:55 4th and Stark (jes5199)
That would be great. Then i will just go straight to the 12:00 axon on 6th and Oak. I guess ill meet you there!

Cherry: Sorry, I'll have Classical Mechanics homework to work on and an Exalted campaign to attend. Me = Huge Nerd.
And I have to leave church early as it is to make it to the Reed axon, 82nd is an additional 15-20 min + possible stoplight interference.
And don't forget to pick up your personal axon.

Cherry, i did, in fact, mean "vector" not "archon"
or whatever correction it would take to make sense

Just to clear things up, I'm going to be on Nw 23rd getting the Lovejoy, Glisan, and Flanders phones, vector is going to be in the center of Downtown at the Oak, Stark, and Hoyt phones.

I got 8/8 axons! How did y'alls do?
Three cheers for the victorious Portland axon hunters!
...Say, since it looks like this game will formally end on Thursday... And Halo 2 comes out a week from Tuesday... I was wondering if we could have a Portland "Combat Training Excercise" on the weekend following the release of Halo 2. It'll be great! We can pool our Xboxes and controllers and cables and TVs and even those of us who don't have Xboxes can play. We just need a venue...
Is anybody else interested in doing something like this? I could host it at my house, and I could probably get my parents to offer some amount transportation both for people and for heavy game equipment. Except, the TV room in my house is pretty small... but still big enough to house all of us beekeepers. Feel free to offer a different venue, or to say that I'm silly and shouldn't be organizing Halo parties when we're all exhausted after getting so many freaking axons.
If we do something like this, I can pitch in by bringing my
- Xbox
- 2 controllers (blue and black, both type S)
- 1 Ethernet crossover cable
- Halo 2, Non-Special edition
(If we don't hold it at my house, I might be able to convince my parents to drop me off along with our TV but I doubt it.)
It would be lots of fun... and we could have popcorn... and cookies... and key lime pie... and gaming... and maybe a movie like "Phone Booth" as my brother suggested
Anybody up for it?

Halo2 and go and play multiplayer morning of the 9th. Then later that night on the 9th play some more Halo2 at another friends house. Its going to be one Halo of a launch. (sorry for the pun)

06) 12:37 PST 45.529626 -122.698544

07) 12:38 PST 45.521472 -122.677583

08 )12:43 PST 45.453202 -122.579611

Now, note that these aren't very many axons, but they will require a lot of coordination. (For instance, how am I going to sneak out of my Japanese class to take my personal call? I guess I'll just say I have to go to the bathroom...)
One person could take the two axons downtown, and the one at Hoyt
One person could take the axon on 23rd, and the one at Hoyt
One person could take the two axons on 82nd
One person could take the axon on Woodstock
One person could take the axon in Eugene
Here are the axons I could take (remember, I have Japanese class until 12 at PCC Sylvania):
07) 12:38 PST 45.521472 -122.677583
SW 6th and Oak. At a phone booth.
09) 12:59 PST 45.527166 -122.681166
NW 10th and Hoyt.
10) 13:19 PST 45.455094 -122.578925
SE 82nd and Clackamas. At a Burger King.
11) 13:39 PST 45.479135 -122.615395
SE 46th and Woodstock. In front of a comic shop.
I could take 7, then either 9 or 11, or I could get NONE of them and take 10 instead.
Of course, I could get more if I snuck out of Japanese class early; but I really, really don't think that's going to happen. (However, desperate times require desperate measures... and do I really want to miss the revealing of the truth?!)
Thanks, y'all,
Cherry

BEHOLD: DVD PICKUP DATE IS NOW NOV. 4th!
DVD pickup time is now 18:00 PST.
Also, Dana has added a note saying that all requests for a mailed DVD should be sent in after the training exercise on Nov. 4th.
Also, regarding Thursday's axons... in order to keep a prior obligation, I will have to get only the two downtown axons (7 and 9). Will anybody else volunteer for axons, please please please?
