When reporters who never even played I Love Bees and clearly have no clue whatsoever get to go to the event and then immediately Ebay their lanyard, I do this.
Also, how hard is it to spell "big?" Jesus.

The article he apparently posted the day before, on November 4, 2004 -- just before the event is here -- cross-posted from the [Questions/Meta] forum:

IGN just released an article on their Xbox site about ILB, and in it they talk about one of their editors is going to one of the 4 locations tonight to 'cover the story' or really just play some Halo 2. They give some congratulations to the people who busted their bums for this game.

No, Hilary Goldstein is a man... and one of my least favorite game journalists, as he tends to give every game an 8 or a 9 and once the awful words, "[game] is an action fan's dream game."
This is harsh, but such phrase should never be uttered in any game review, by any self-respecting game journalist, ever.
IGN Xbox is desperately trying to find every single way they can cover Halo 2's launch... like running retrospectives on their coverage of Halo 2's launch

CNN Money - Nov 9

"Microsoft is hoping to keep that momentum going once legitimate copies go on sale -- and has spent the last several months doing all it can to incite gamer hysteria. In July, the company began running "Halo 2" trailers before major motion pictures. It also wooed the hard-core gaming audience with an online, alternate-reality game, which proved to be an enormous success. "

There were at least two local news reports on the Halo2 release; no mention of ilovebees. MS must be in heaven over all the news attention.

Sort of a side article on Tara Platt (Genie, etc.) mentions her work in ILB.
