I just browsed a google images with keyword "smiling Obama", and had this feeling about him beeing photoshopped. Anyway, as side note, I see it again and again - he is the most charismatic US president so far in the US history.

OK, perhaps you already found it, people, but Dr. Feng Guangbiao is actually this stock photo http://www.bigstockphoto.com/de/image-48472229/stock-photo-asian-technician-working-in-a-laboratory
with photoshopped face of somebody who looks a little bit like Pierre Chang from Dharma Initiative, but isn't.

Yeah, that was in the massive original thread. {minus the Pierre Chang lookalike part, which I disagree with} Between this one, and me thinking "Annika Peltier" looks super familiar, I suggested the original two EofM pages were maybe the PM team badly photoshopped {some of them are far more obviously shopped}

Yes, I also suppose, the Employees are a huge insider gag.

Besides of this, Nikolai Roza recalls me on Michael Fassbender, who should play Rasputin, according RT (Russia Today)
https://www.rt.com/news/329843-oscar-nominees-russian-vip/

Well, I am not being a fan of Russia Today, which would confirm the paranoia Angst by Howard - RT is a huge Russian propaganda network. I know the backgrounds of this Propaganda monster and it's not nice.

But nevertheless in this pretended "VIPs have to play Russians" gallery (which is pretty fun though) the photo of Fassbender recalls me on Nikolai Roza.

Hmmm. I dunno.

This one's even closer.

http://fuckyeahmichaelfassbender.tumblr.com/post/118518169726/mcavoys-michael-fassbender-poses-for-a-portrait

But the placement of the features are all a little small, and smushed together in the Russian guy's face? Might just be the terrible photoshopping...

I feel like this is intentional punishment for all that time I spent staring at a terrible jigsaw puzzle. Which should have been punishment enough.

If nothing else, I'm getting the idea that you probably don't want to work for Tagruato.

Benjamin Linus, David the robot, the man with Horn Rimmed glasses? That might as well be a list of loyal employees/sociopaths I'd rather not have in the cubicle next to me.

Kate's the odd one out - but still a sociopath.

Edit: Huh. Thought about it a little, and realised that they might be drawing a connection from the character of Kate in Lost to Michelle in this movie. As a bit of foreshadowing. I think these two characters are similar in some ways.

Surrounded by danger, they seem at first innocent and in need of protection - but are in fact quite capable and just as dangerous themselves. They also find themseves caught in a power play between two intrinsically different men.

No, unfortunately there weren't any chat, and original Cloverfield ARG collapsed in the promotion to BluRay...

If you want to get silly about it, you could google Roza and get a picture of a red Rose similar to the one on FAPT.. and then add Lilly for Evangelies pic and you have two flowers. Reynoso means a place of Fields, and so on..

waiting and hoping...

I've been kinda wondering about that one. It's the only one that looks like a real person, not photoshopped. The name is suspicious so I tried anagrams (which FYI I hate anagrams and think they're terrible things to use as puzzles the vast majority of the time - but just because I don't like them doesn't mean a PM won't use them) There are a number of viable options, including "a human note" which seems to, oddly, be the name of an Japanese up with people like singing group (Odd coincidence there).

Otherwise found not much. But it's interesting it's not a real name. There could very well be something there. But it should be pretty simple and easily solvable given the track record.

And the very first misspelling in the FaPT message was 'yoru' - meaning 'night'.

Belladonna blooms at night, is found throughout America (especially where it's warm and moist, like Louisiana), and is legendary for it's deadly properties, including "...bizarre delirium and hallucinations..." (the kind that might make you think Russia's 'comin' to get ya', perhaps)...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atropa_belladonna

Has Howard been making his own 'jams and jellies' down in the bunker...?

Laughing

It's true that Hana is a common Japanese name, and Hanan isn't. I was either chalking it up to the fact that the staff making the page didn't really know much about Japanese people, it was the name of a half-Japanese person, or that it was a trendy name (as in, people in the US name their kids weird stuff, and names from other cultures. Japanese people like that do exist).

True, the pretending Japanese topic of Tagruato is pretty Hollywood-esque. It's sympathetic but not authentic.

Slusho with its wannabe Manga style is pretty ridiculous, and the quasi Japanese commercial for Slusho was goofy, even if there were Japanese actors involved - this fact is already great progress for Western media depicting Asian realms. But after all Tagruato and Co leaves a cheesy taste of trying to produce "something Asian sorta kind of stuff".

Same same. It feels overall like the content creators "tried" to create something Japanese, but didn't actually do any research, consult any people who had lived in Japan, or cared that much. It's just a game about a fictional company, so it's not anything to get angry over, but it feels, like you said, very sympathetic and not authentic. A lot like that Gwen Stefani Harajuku video.
