Another video of the most current build. Currently it's still the same test area, but sound effects are now fully implemented (ambient sounds, a lot more footstep sounds, etc.) and pages are randomly scattered. A lot of other tweaks have been made as well. I also show off the camera zoom, though I think I might make it zoom in and out faster in a future build. There's also a bug that shows up in the video; after collecting 6+ pages, SM gets the ability to teleport into and out of areas that you are currently observing. When he does, the screen is supposed to flicker briefly, but once during the video it does not. I need to figure out why, so I'll be going back over the code.
I spend a lot of time running around on this, in part because in the panic of the moment, I forgot where all the possible spawn spots are, so I was trying to remember what areas I've already checked while trying to avoid SM at the same time.
See if you can also catch the spot where I legitimately got startled and my camera spazzed out.

Sort of not used to seeing his back. For some reason he doesn't seem scary when you can see his back. Also, 3:58 was the moment I think.

Close, but I think it was 3:55.
EDIT: Can you add some breathing sound effects?

There are breathing sound effects. Also, we're talking about the same point in the video anyway.

When you finish this I hope it gets successful.
The concept is awesome, and, by the looks of the test build, the game will be awesome.

Looks pretty neat... Also, are you able to mess with the slenderman model? I don't know if it's just the video, but he looks rather rounded out and chunky. If he were taller and slimmer, it might look a bit more like a crazy demon entity, rather than a chubby fellow who has lost his face in the dark
Seriously though, keep at it. I like how the camera starts fizzing out when he draws closer.

I am thoroughly impressed with the concept. In you current build, I can really feel the suspense that I'm sure you were trying to convey. Keep up the good work!
Also, the first moment you get a see slenderman in full view and the tension chord sound plays made me jump. Very great sound design.

Dude... that other Slender Man game creeped me out enough with it's basic art style. I'm gonna freak the hell out if it's a game where things actually look like things.
And now I have to try it.
Edit: Yeah, just downloaded it and it gave me an error message when I tried to unzip it. Let me know when it's back up.

Whether I'm windowed or I'm full, I just get a black screen that goes unresponsive after I start the game and the logo flies by.

Odd, never heard of that happening before with any of my testers... Try a different quality setting? Also, was it the PC or Mac version? Graphics card up to date?
