Mark of markbabbleing.blogspot.com is gay, but it's mostly an informed attribute. (It's a good blog, BTW)

I was never much a fan of obvious sexuality in characters. If it has to be said out of the way if someone is gay it just comes across as awkward and clunky.

I would say if you're going to go for it, have it be initially obvious, but not noted. Like they mention having a crush on someone, or they act awkward around someone attractive of the same gender.

Of course, if it was one of those single character stories, it might be best to avoid romantic interests all together.

Of course, you could always just be ambiguous, surely the fans will leap to any sort of slash shipping they can perceive. I mean, someone might say that Jay is homosexual, because there has been nothing to deny this, or support it, so your imagination can fill the gaps.

Of course, we know relatively little of him besides the life he lives currently. We don't know what music he likes, his favourite food, what his relationship with his family is. All we know is that he is in a situation now and it involves things beyond his control.

(of course I just realised my last 3 paragraphs began with "of course"... after looking back... of course.)

I think this is where Blogs might have the edge of Vlogs, where you can say a lot of incidental things about the protagonist, without wasting the readers time (whereas a vlog may come out once a month, and really needs to get the plot down, not so much the character)

If your series were to have a lot of characters who actually interact, then that would be one thing. Your characters could talk about things that bother them, or their happiness or pain... but if your series is just one guy with a camera running around you might be better off not having him linger on a cover of GQ and then do a wolf whistle.

Hey everyone Smile

Thanks so much for the links, there going to be the highlight of my otherwise very dull weekend Smile And is that much eagerly awaited blog from Candelora from Tiny Chat (Tale of Tales)? Shocked Very Happy Thanks guys, I haven't been on in awhile and I've really been looking forward to it Smile

I was NOT making a statement or critique of Slendy fiction, just being frivolous. I knew given the extensive range of Slendy fiction, there would be stories featuring gay protagonists; I just needed someone to point me in the right direction Smile
