Creating "Interactive Fiction" panel/event at convention?
Input, ideas, yay or nay, ect.

There's a convention in Dallas (AllCon), it's an all-pupose event and they encourage any and all types of groups too small to have a convention of their own. I've yet to hear about any ARG/Chaotic Fiction/whatever groups in Dallas, so I've been toying around with the idea of seeing if I could get a panel or something approved. I'm still new to the ARG thing in general, but I do have a passion for this genre and have researched the past milestone games (and I'm running one myself). I guess the panel would be something like "An Introduction to Interactive Fiction" or something? I was planning on giving a brief idea of what an ARG is (in general, I know there's some debate about what an ARG is exactly), some resources to use to find games (like uF or deaddrop or argNET), some of the more popular/famous games (The Beast, ilovebees, I Believe in Harvey Dent), and maybe walk the players through one- I was thinking Mime Academy is a good re-playable one.
Does anyone have any input? They said I'd just need to prove that people actually WOULD show up to the panel and such, and AllCon 2013 is still a ways off, but I wanted to start this discussion beforehand so I could get some input from the more veteran players and what I might add or who I might be able to get in touch with in Dallas who'd be willing to help with the panel or something?
