Thanks zort for pointing out what should have been obvious.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I tried reverse shift with the alphabet and using Marie as a key to make a cipher and quite a few other things while ignoring what was literally right in front of my face. ( Dunce )

Could somebody give me a hand with #8? I'm not so good with what appears to be Morse code.

It's not morse code. Here's a big hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The number of taps (1-5 taps) are used to mark the rows and columns in a polybius square. I won't provide you the answer but there are 9 pairs of numbers that you will use. If you're still stuck I'll check back later and provide an answer for you.

No, that helped plenty, thank you!

Another hint...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It didn't seem like Morse code to me, just a series of taps, so I went to Google and searched for "tap code" and the first link really helped. Wink

Solved puzzles 14 and 15, the hard ones. Still having trouble with 11, 12, and 13. I'm close on 13 and 12, I think, but I'm having a hard time with 11.

finally solved them all -- then FINALLY got them into the format that the system would accept. In that respect, puzzle 14 was the only one I was successful with on the first try. Such a pain, but keep trying variations, and pay attention to the question set-up on a few of them.

Has anyone else noticed that the second section is now open and there will be a live event on Friday in Brooklyn.

By the way I've solved the latest puzzles Smile

I can't make the live event, despite my relative proximity (Boston's closer to New York than Alcatraz, right?). Looking at the location on Google Maps...

No sleep 'til...

Wow, numbers 11 and 12 are pretty poorly designed...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Instead of checking for keywords, you have to enter an exact phrase. I'm still stuck on #11. I know that it is asking for something like "the hour that he escapes", but I've tried every thinkable combination of words to solve the puzzle and NADA. Very badly done puzzle...

You are not looking for the right phrase there. The question on the screen asks, "What did Percy tell the guards in domino terms?" It's very basic, don't overthink it.

Yeah, I've figured the answers for 11 and 12, but again, the question is so vague that it's hard to tell what they want.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
For 11, the answer seems to be December 25, 1962. So it's either that, or Christmas Day, 1962, or 12/25/62, or 25/12/62, or "the date he will escape" or something. And #12...well, I think it's 06:00 Tiburon, but apparently that's not the right answer?

I'm going to take your spoilered text and add suggestions/hints, if that's what you're looking for:

For 11,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

No, no, no. The question again is, "What did Percy tell the guards in domino terms?" Literally, that's all you need to give, the domino. That's it, which you seem to already have, although you have too much data there, only one number is needed.

And #12...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And #12...well, I think it's 06:00 Tiburon, but apparently that's not the right answer?

It is, but not in the best (only acceptible) format. First, look at how the starting time is written in the flavor text before the question. Then state the answer as "time at place" -- the 'at' is something we're supposed to supply on our own, I guess.

(MovieLord seems to have gotten it to work with a comma between.)
