 		Personally... what this world really needs is an anagram generator that accepts single wildcards. So, suppose a scrambled puzzle phrase were

S-E-C-B-(?)-N-G-N-O-G-D-A,

the anagrammer-with-wildcards would be able to properly decipher that into BACON AND EGGS.

That would significantly diminish my dislike of them.
