Well, I received email from vladimirsirinSPLATyahoo.co.uk. There was no subject and the body of the email was a simple:

So, I replied with "..-" for the hell of it, expecting it to be some bunk sent by a spam bot using a real name to get past the spam filter (plus, I'm a bit drunk right now so I figured what the hell?) and I get a reply:

So, this is quite obviously a trailhead. It's not translating with binary, so I'm guessing it's a multi cipher of some sort. The "1-36 made magical" part is definitely a clue. I briefly looked it up and I saw some stuff about elements 1-36, 1-36 Infantry, and Matthew 23 1-36 which references hypocrisy. I have some stuff to do so I'll start on it when I get back...

edit: the reply with the 1's and 0's and *'s was an auto reply so I'm assuming this may have been sent to multiple people and the auto reply is making the PM's job easier for now.

Vladimir Sirin is Vladimir Nabokov's pseudonym, and one of his published writings with the pseudonym is Grozd, which consists of 36 poems. (see Vladimir Nabokov)

Excellent observation! I'd say that's a definite possibility... And with the whole Ted/Poem theme that went on at the beginning of Eden Elddir, (Not to mention the Elddir/riddlE thing) I'd wager to say that you and Lystella, with the Vladimir Nabokov and the Grozd collection, are spot on! I looked around a bit and I wasn't able to find any material from Grozd. I'll take a crack at it again tomorrow when I have a bit more sobriety!

I wasn't very involved in the previous games, since my free time was very limited, but they both involved a lot of character interaction and had fiendish puzzles. Looks like round 3 is about to start!

EDIT: I think that the second chapter of the game was called "Fifteen Days of Darkness." At this point, I'm thinking that this is separate of Eden, but I could be mistaken.

FINAL EDIT FOR REAL: Okay, there were already 3 games: Vanessa Atalanta, Ministry of Argon, and then Fifteen Days of Darkness, so if this is really starting up again, this would be round 4. My bad. I'm going to stop talking now and let someone who actually knows what's going on speak up Laughing

 		I feel left out not having received Vladdy's E-mail...somehow, just somehow I'll have to try and cope...


Anyhow, just my two cents...1)is a "magic square" possible with the numbers 1-36? And if so, is there any way to plug them into the binary-looking script?....and 2) "Intueor" anagrams to "Routine".

Hope Facebook isn't important in this section of the game...I'm an intentional avoider of the House that Zuckerberg built...oh well.

UPDATE:(to avoid double posting): Ok, after 5 minutes of research, a order -six magic square is possible in multiple configurations, so that doesn't really help. I wonder, however, if we have to figure out which order to place the numbers 1-36, perhaps related to Grozd, then convert the numbers to binary, plug them into the original e-mail, and translate the whole thing as one message..... Man, I hope that made sense. I also know I have no clue in which order to plug in the numbers, and I know of no way to brute force it.

Ah. That makes much, much more sense. That's what I get for thinking that every funny-looking (at least to my narrow-minded self) word must be code or an anagram. Consider myself corrected.

 		I commented on Vlad's FB status, asking him what was going on and if he was okay. He responded with "Command unknown." I'm thinking that this is more of an announcement or preparation for the game beginning, but I'll keep poking around.

 		Yeah, that's me. It's a dummy FB I set up for ARG use.

I started reading through the old forums for 15 Days, trying to refresh my memory on what happened there. Even though I guess I don't need to anymore, I'm far enough in that I'm interested enough to finish it, haha.

As far as the George Lucas comment, I guess that means that we're talking about a prequel to the events of the other games? This could be very interesting indeed...

 		From what I recall, the previous games had a lot of character interaction, mostly through Facebook. There were also plenty of puzzles, which were always challenging. Assuming that this game will have a similar style, there'll always be something to do and people to talk to Smile
