An Assortment of Puzzles
We wrote some puzzles and thought we'd share...

A small group of friends and I took it upon ourselves to each create a small puzzle to challenge the group, and we thought it might be fun to share them here to get a gauge of their difficulty among a more diverse group.

See below if you're interested. Each is unrelated to the others, and they are fairly unique in approach. Where not indicated, the expected solution is a short word/phrase/letter/number.



Our Women are Straight Lines.





At the meanest of times
Seek the house of plebs and lords
Halt upon the viaduct and look upon me
As I, The Iron Eye do look upon you.



Her Majesty's Palace, a daunting scene; History tells of a powerful regime.
By force and power were countries frighted, the desire quite clear: four corners united.
Kingsley Winkleworth made a discovery so disastrous, scratched his head and thought it pre-posterous.
The Palace has not blog to show off it's fame? No longer the case, Kingsley restored the Queen's name.



4 artists are playing poker.
The first got it right with number one. Why did he keep going?
Not everyone was happy when Superman put the second's creation back in its place.
The third inspired his wife's clothing design.
The fourth enjoyed his soup in different colors.

Each artist has as many cards as the artist with the shortest name. Given the key below, translate their names into the cards that they're holding.
