A little thing to waste time with ;)

Made this testing out different techniques of hiding things, I have a lot of ideas of very complicated ways to do this but I made this one pretty easy.
If it goes well I may make more and amp up the difficulty.

Since this one will be super easy I won't provide any hints unless it just falls totally flat.

Anyhoo, enjoy.

Hmm... I'm not sure if Soundbooth can do what I intend, but you won't need to change pitch/tempo, reverse, or filter in any way.

I'd guess it's either some hidden data in the tags thing or the scenario I can never do where you actually "see" data in the signal using Audacity or another spectrum analyzer. WMP's Particle visualization does make it look like theres a graphical component to the signal.
The album art is interesting, but I can't quite get all the letters and wonder how you embed that in a file in the first place.

If you need an analyzer I recommend Sonic Visualizer, it's freeware.

For the album art since you already found the letters it's just a matter of adjusting brightness and contrast to make it out, and to embed album art you can use various programs, I used mp3tag since I retag all my mp3s with it :p

Quick note, when embeding album art it inserts the full image (which was 200x200) if you're trying to read it by the thumbnail only it's not going to help, if you can't extract the full image (most media players should be able to display it) then I can just post it if you wish.

Excellent Very Happy
Now you have a clue and a code, however there's another plain clue no one has mentioned, it only requires you to look at the file.... timewaster may be the filename, but that's not necessarily what it's called...

New at this but I found:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Opposite and then with the imbeded pic I found three rows of letters
Am I on the right track?

You have it all, no it's up to you on what to do, pretty simple in the end, but the letters are a code, you have to use the other two to decipher it somehow....
