Google Making Things Difficult for the CF Blogger

I've been considering trying out ARGing through the blogging medium. Since Blogger is the most used and accessible site, I decided that I would start up several profiles on it as outs for different characters in the game. But apparently, you have to verify your account to Google... through your mobile phone.

I assume this is so Google can get your phone number and give it out to their advertisement peoples or whatever it is companies do with private info, but still it makes life hard because I've only got one phone. I could only use it for one account (since I'm sure when they see multiple verification codes going through the same phone they'll start shutting them down).

Anyone else run into this problem?

I recently started a Blogger account, but I never had that issue. I've also made a few different google accounts but I never had to enter in a phone number. That is rather strange, but I'm not so sure they could sell it off to different places to call you and try to sell you crap. Even more so if you're on the do not call list.

Anyway, here's my pathetic attempt at a Blogger blog. I just made it to post pictures of my adventures through the countrysides and to keep track of them.

Sammeeeees used blogspot (now run by Google) for many character interactions and puzzles. As far as I can tell (from our game playing in the Nave during the sequel), you can run multiple pages from a single account. Just don't sign up for their advertising to be on your blog.

I currently have two blogs linked from a single gmail account. Google never asked for a phone number when it was set up.

Did you attempt to set-up the accounts, initially, using a mobile device?
I never have, but could see them adding a check for that if you're coming in via their mobile portal.

Try to set up the sites at a desktop, first?

Sometimes, Google will do that, if it suspects you are creating a whole bunch of accounts, to prevent spammers from clogging up the system. If you're using the same password(s) or recovery question(s) over and over again, try using different ones.
