Confused Um...yeah, no. That video was pretty brilliant. And I'm pretty sure the majority of the fandom agrees with me on that.

They certainly do.
However, my friends and I all agree that the acting somehow regressed back to Season 1-tier, back when it was literally laughably bad.
I have no real constructive criticism to add, primarily because it's nearly 4 AM and I'm all but dozing off where I sit, but it really was a pretty big letdown to us.

I'm hoping the quality decline was a fluke, cause I quite like the series, and what it's doing to branch out, but I just couldn't take that video seriously.

On topic - I've pretty much lost any interest I had in Tribe Twelve for now. There's absolutely nothing to keep me interested.

I can kind of see your point here. I was way more interested when I first discovered this series and I could watch all of the videos back-to-back. It was super exciting and gripping. Now that I watch the videos as they come out, I'm not as interested. But the plot is enough to keep me curious enough to wait for new videos. So I wouldn't say there's nothing keeping me interested.

Really? I'm as excited about every entry as I've even been and I can't wait until they come out. But, heh, everyone's different (maybe wait for a couple of entries to pile up and then start watching going through them)

I did have a few gripes with the last entry (the gun scene in particular just didn't fit the naturalism of the series and some of the dialogue in the conversation was a bit...odd), but it was still a fantastic entry (Adam's a fantastic director and Noah searching his house had my heart racing, the apperance of Slendy, finding out that not even Milo's bloody remains were safe from The Collective in death, poor old Mary's sufferings and watching Noah crumble into a child-like state after failing to kill The Operator and some great performances from Adam and Marrisa (the actress behind Mary) and still street aheads of most TV/film. Apart from Tribe Twelve's shaky beginning (which was still very good), it's the only real time I've had problem with an entry and it really didn't affect my enjoyment all that much.

BTW, I thought everyone was still pretty positive about Tribe Twelve?

People have short attention spans, that's all.

There's quite a few series that have had to stall out right now... after all it's summer, and everyone needs a break. Personally I'm always amazed at the effort everyone has been willing to put into their series, with little or no return whatsoever (except maybe a dvd down the road, but that's pretty unlikely for most).

I adore Tribe Twelve and its storyline and its everything, but when there's just nothing for weeks (or like the last case, months).. it's really hard to stay excited about nothing, you know? Even though I know Adam is likely a busy man, it can't be helped. I've put Adam's abilities on such a pedestal, so when he hyped up Mary Asher's Phone Call video, I was expecting the most awesomest Slenderman related video of all time. The entire thing disappointed me though, even more so since the creator himself hyped it up. I even thought the Slenderman appearance was pretty awful with the way he zoomed to Noah all choppy. Adding on nearly two months of absolutely nothing Tribe Twelve related, it's really easy to lose interest. Until Adam releases a new, exciting Tribe Twelve video then I'll probably be acting like a 6 year old child all over again. Which I know probably won't be the next video considering it's supposed to be just a recap, which doesn't help the loss of interest either. :p

This perfectly describes how I feel about TribeTwelve. Thank you.

Well, not every video can be as exciting as we execpected, but the call was not bad, it sure gave some exposition, and raised more questions and all that, but at least we got to see some awesome Slendy effects.

The last video was supposed to be exposition, but it wasn't, and most of the excitement was due to the Slendy FPS. I really doubt that this will be a recap and nothing more, especially since it's taking so long, and I'm pretty sure that we'll see some more of those "effects". Other series can afford to go several videos, if not many, without seeing Slendy or one of the proxies, but Tribe Twelve sure as hell can't.

The problem with ANY type of hype is that it almost always leaves one dissapointed, even if the video is really really good.

As much as I understand Adam wanting to share what's coming up, it would probably be better (in terms of feedback) to let everything be a surprise to us, the watchers.

I know people may be dissatisfied with the waits, or unhappy with what they might consider a lackluster video (not me, mind you) but I think it's important to let the creators know we do appreciate the immense effort they go to!! After all, these guys don't have a fricken budget, or professional staff, etc etc. They have to work with what they have.

There are plenty of good indie films, and plenty of bad indie films. Not being a 'professional' isn't an excuse for bad material, otherwise everything on youtube would be rated 5 and I don't want to live in that world.

Each series has things it does well and things it doesn't, but to me the effects don't make up for how drawn out things are. I was more excited when we saw Noah's parents and friend, and when the series extended to Twitter and involved someone 'outside' of the game.

It's the same scenario with movies that focus too much on special effects. We have all of these other characters introduced, and don't have them involved on a regular basis.

To me though, the biggest problem is the waiting time, if the videos were shorter but more frequently released, the other issues would become pretty minor

Whoa, you guys nit-pick way too much. The creator, Adam, is only human, just like us. He has a life, just like we do. He is more than just TribeTwelve, and you people need to quit complaining like you always do. If I were a creator having to read all these "WAAA ITS BEEN TOO LONG, I DONT REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED SO I LOST INTEREST" posts, I'd feel real discouraged. Nonetheless, he's already said that he's making a recap video, so everyone can be caught up and not in the dark about recent info. It's not the first time this has happened either, his updates are usually this far apart anyway. Be patient people, good lord.

I completely agree with you, Bartok.

As far as I am concerned, the creators don't owe us jack.
After all we aren't helping them fund their work, we aren't helping them make the series... I'm sure for some of them this is beginning to feel like a huge unpaid job where you are pretty much taken for granted and sometimes criticized at every opportunity.

I don't think constructive criticism is a bad thing at all, but that is different than not letting the creators of a series know that we really appreciate all they are doing for us.

Try coming to the world of comics where a month wait is typical for the BIG guys, and a 3 to 6 month wait is not at all unheard of for the independent guys. One of my favorites (Castle Waiting) just published issue 17... 3 YEARS after issue 16. Waiting a couple months... no big deal.

None of us have said Adam owes us a thing. Just because he has a life outside of his creation, doesn't make it any less uninteresting for some of us. We do absolutely realize he is a human and Adam shouldn't feel discouraged just because some of us are uninterested at the moment - that'd be dumb. Just because we are maybe bored of TT for the moment, does not mean we do not appreciate what Adam has created for us to enjoy. All it simply means is that we are uninterested for the time being. We aren't being nit picky at all - we're just simply stating an opinion. It would be the exact same thing as someone posting how happy they are to wait months on end, but no one would get upset about that.

I am a huge fan of Tribe Twelve and can't wait to see it progress, but like I stated earlier, for me at least, it's hard to stay excited when there's nothing to be excited about. That's all.

I didn't exactly feel was a personal post, which is why I used we instead of I.

also lol @ above poster

I think Adam is doing exactly what he should be doing. He's taking his time and making work that he can be proud of. I don't expect him to be able to do more than that.
My personal opinion (which I believe I am entitled to) just happens to be that it's hard to stay interested during these gaps.
