Or, you know, the problem could be that I inserted an extra "w," and then everything got messed up. Very Happy

Anyway, here's the paragraph:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This is happening now. In your time. In a
few short years, there won't be any polar
bears in the wild because they won't have
anywhere to hunt. They will be a curiosity in
zoological parks. In another seventy four
years, the polar ice caps will be so small
that permanent refugee settlements will
take the place of penguins. commit that
date to memory. X

...and I tried adding 74 to 2009, and putting that in the transmission bar, and I got it! Transmission unlocked. Yay!

So the new video has two interesting things in it, to my mind. The magnifying glass moving over the five-dollar bill seems a little out of place. and the image at the end is called an Ouroboros.

I've tried entering "Lincoln," "abelincoln," "abrahamlincoln," etc. I've tried entering "ouroboros" (in all its common spellings) and nothing worked. I've also discovered that the Goldman Environmental Prize gives its recipients a bronze ouroboros, so I entered the last names of all the 2009 recipients, and nothing.

Any other ideas?

Ouroborus unlocked

So searching for 'ouroborus' brings up a bunch of pages with pen and ink drawings of footprints.

They each have bold text like="PHAIRPLYR" "DON'T CHEAT" "FAIR PLOY" "FARE PLAY" etc. Each has a bit of coded text underneath . . . hmm . . . could it be a another playfair cipher?

So based on the shape and 'amphibian' written on it-- I was pretty sure that the second print drawing was a
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
frog

So I tried that as the key-- but no dice.

Eventually I put in the bold text as the key and got this (in order, L to R)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

1
use the second letxter of this animal place this letxter sixth
use the third letter of this animal place this letxter first

2
use the second letxter of this animal place this letxter second also place this letxter seventh

3
use the fifth letter of this animal place this letxter third
use the sixth letter of this animal place this letxter lastx

4
use the first letter of this animal place this letxter fifth
use the fourth letxter of this animal place this letxter fourthx

5
use the first letter of this animal place this letxter eighthx
use the sixth letter of this animal place this letxter tenth

6
use the sixth letter of this animal place this letxter ninth
use the tenth letter of this animal place this letxter eleventhx

Although the deciphered texts gave some hints to the lengths of the animal names most of them involved a fair amount of guess and check-- clearly my master google track identification abilities were going to be put to the test:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The animals are (with letters used in the code in caps)

1 dOG (surprisingly this took a long time)
2 fRog
3 rabbIT
4 FlamIngo (also a tough one-- mostly got by context when the code was half-solved)
5 ElephAnt (the continents and 'probascis' were the keys here)
6 rhinoCeroS (used the same hints as #5)

When you rearrange the letters in caps based on the texts above you get:
'grimforecast'

which unlocks the next video that ends with

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
matrix

Building on Phomaster's work from the last puzzle, I used Audacity to make the edits from his QR codes.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

QR-code1.mp3 - 0.04MB

I think this one says: "reverse letters in Maya words"

QR-code2.mp3 - 0.02MB

and this one sounds like "we loss elephant"

So I tried entering

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

'ew ssol tnahpele' and 'tnahpele ssol ew'

but neither worked. Any Ideas?

Okay, I'm not sure if it was me or someone else who did the unlocking (I was trying some different versions of the text above, but the flash started acting weird, so I refreshed-- and then it was unlocked)

So sorry, no idea what the correct code was.

The new thing to search for is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'bellaso'

I gotta run-- so no time to work on the coded paragraph now.

vigenere worked for me

first, phomaster?-- what is the flaming smiley riding the bicycle?

I used

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
dying earth
as the key just like you suggested

and http://sharkysoft.com/misc/vigenere/

gave me

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I have a secret. I'm in love. We talk about getting married, having a family. Sometimes I have to keep it secret from myself because I worry that what I want might not work out. I worry about what the world will look like when my children grow up. I know you have the same concerns. Even in the pages of the long dead romantic writers we see this evidence of these fears. Sometimes when my thoughts turn dark I imagine myself as one of Lionel Verney's last companions. Do you know her?

According to wikipedia
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Lionel Verney is the protagonist in Mary Shelly's apocalyptic novel set in the future, "The Last Man." The plot summary tells us that in the final part of the book, he was on a raft with Clara and Adrian who drowned in a storm before he swam to shore.

However, entering 'Clara and Adrian' or just 'Clara' or any other combination does not seem to unlock the next video.

Any ideas?

I searched Wikipedia for tussie-mussie. That lead to a very short paragraph with a link that sounded promising: Language of Flowers.

The chart on that page had carnations, but none of them listed your definition (the one that worked). So I kept reading.

At the bottom of the page was a link for "Hanakotoba, Japanese Flower Language"

That combined with the characters and I had a good feeling.

I went with your flower ID's (primrose and carnation) and, after consulting the handy Wikipedia chart tried
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
desperate disappointed

That didn't do anything in the black 'unlock' spot, but searching in the white box gave another page with two more flowers. They were fairly simple to identify using the photos in the chart an the sentence context as
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Camellia (Yellow) and Anemone(White)
so I tried 'longing sincerity,' and again, it didn't unlock anything, but did bring up a new page when entered in the white search box.

This one had four flowers and no sentence. I had to look up Japanese numbers to figure out what order to put them into:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Verbena, Violet, Edelweiss, Poppy (Yellow)
so, when you enter 'Cooperation Honesty Courage Success' (THIS TIME!) it unlocked the transmission.

The new page can be found (fittingly) by entering
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'florio graphy'

although the new puzzle doesn't seem to have anything to do with flowers
