Normal site/content connection isn't that hard. If you want to see creations made by kids, go where it says creations. If you want to play games to help the minifigs, click the button that says help the minifigs. It's like advertising a movie at the begining of the same movie that's being advertised.

Still no invite for me, but looks like they did add a new challenge, specifically for the minifig missions: http://universe.lego.com/en-us/CreationLab/DisplayCreationList.aspx?challengeId=c8f3fb2d-9b0b-4a4c-85e5-f30515314dbe. They fixed the link on the minifig mission too.

So the "update" that was scheduled to happen today (as rumored/inferred by LEGO Club Magazine) was /just/ a new LEGO Universe newsletter (url), which offers no new information (publicly or via the VIP code). Kinda lame. In my wildest dreams, I was hoping for an Open Beta, but this fell faaaar short of anything worth looking for.

Mission 10 is at 90% unlock rate.

When I completed Mission 9, I got 200 minifigs.

Seeing the game as it is now, open seems really far away. We'll see how fast they start to implement things. Sorry this had to be painfully general.

The new challenge is up, and it's a small shooter. Fairly fun, but the turnout isn't big and the bullets are kinda erratic.
