[TRAILHEAD?] The Bradford Rant Institute of Cosmic Kinesis Possible LEGO ARG?!? So some folks have been retweeting a link back and forth on Twitter that seems to be a trailhead for a Lego ARG. The original tweet came from @therabbitshole and reads as follows:
http://bit.ly/14ewmW #LEGO I found this strange LEGO space pod online? Oh what Oh What could it mean? #arg
The link takes you to:
http://www.bradfordrant.org/en/home.html
Inside is the first clue in a multi-clue puzzle, Lego-style, as well as coords for multiple dead drops of Lego "Pods". I, for one, would love to get my Lego-loving hands on one of those pods but it appears there will only be 7 and 5 of them are nowhere near me (2 are in the ocean!?!). At any rate, I'm all for a Lego ARG and hope this goes well.
Ok, lets get that first clue solved, time to decode folks!
/edit: merged to existing thread -ndemeter

That plaque is awesome!
For those that don't know, it's a reproduction of the plaque on the Voyager space probe, seen HERE .
There are four coordinates listed on the Find the Pods page:
40.92, -116.23
40.92, -80.11
24.77, -80.11
24.77, -116.23
Which forms a rectangle over the US, the center of which is West of Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.

Some info. just for the fun of it...
About the game- Lego Universe and Photo album
LEGO Universe photos
screenshots
Gnarled Forest
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Billy on FB went a step further with the coord. info. and says
Quote:
The 4 coordinates are in a square. The center of this square is at 32.845, -98.17. This is a few hours west of Fort Worth, Texas.
I took what you guys said about it being near a Legoland and did a little digging. Here's an article I found: Fort Worth Legoland
This new Legoland is just west of Forth Worth.

Just in case you guys did not know this plaque represents the same one that was sent on the pioneer mission. Obviously the circles below represent planets. And I am guessing the deciphered codes equate to maybe the planets in the game?

The screenshots and article has the names of the locations in the game as the planets in the deciphered 1st pod plaque.
Here's a link to the Grapevine Mall where the new Legoland is going.

That's my guess, some type of starchart or something. Man, wish I knew someone who lived in Texas...

Check out the "How to find a pod" instructions on the site:
Quote:
# If you arrive at a pod location, look for the contact person
# When you find the contact person, tell them the number of the pod you seek, e.g. 'Pod No.2'. Be sure to write down the Pod ID.
# As a reward for being the first person at the pod location, you will receive the pod
# It is still very important for others to make their way to the pod location and record the Pod ID
So you have to go there, unannounced, to some place that is sure to have someone waiting there, and it can still be visited after wards by others. It would make sense that it would be a store or some locale w/ a fixed staff.
That mall has 8 "toy" stores listed...

That's a bummer. One of the things I've always loved about LEGO is how they have embraced the idea of the collectir's item. No doubt these pods will be high up on the LEGO rare collectibles list.
