The news of Dave's passing fills me with great sadness. The ARG community has lost a very special individual; a man of vision, talent, and humor.
Dave will always personify for me what an ARG is and can be. From my first experiences as a clueless noob on Chasing the Wish to my great fortune to work with Dave and the talented team of PMs that created Urban Hunt. He was the Alpha and the Omega of my ARG journey, and I will cherish those memories forever.
My condolences go out to his family, those who knew Dave, and all those who were touched by him. We are better for having had him in our world.
Requesat en Pace Dave... you are missed.

I didn't know Dave, but know he touched many. I will keep his wife and son in my thoughts. Having went through this recently, I know how hard the days ahead will be and the tears seem neverending.
I know you have much friends and family during this sad time for support and comfort, but know that there is an extended family among us here in the ARG community that also is there for you if you need anything ever at all.
While I cannot speak for everyone Marianne.... I can say that if you find yourself in need of anything at all whether a kind word, or an available ear, I am one of many who would gladly oblige.
My son Cameron Wayne passed away recently and if there indeed is a heaven, I'm sure him and Dave will meet. He just seemed like such a wonderful person.
My sincere condolences,

You are missed, Dave.
I'll meet you at the dessert table when it's my turn to go down the ultimate rabbit hole.
I'm telling you now, so you can't say, "Oh, I didn't know...Nobody told me!"

Dave's "This Is Not A Game" introduced me to the genre, brought me to this community and changed my life.
This reality is just another alternate one. See you in the next reality.
And thank you for everything.

A couple of us from New York are going to go to the Sunday night service, as we can't make the Monday service. We can probably bring another person or two. If anyone else wants to go along, please message me here. Thanks.

Dave gave me my first taste of being BTS in an ARG--I got to participate in the live news conference for Chasing the Wish, and after that rush I never wanted to be "just" a player again.
He was always gracious, and I am so glad we got to hear his keynote last year at ARGfest Boston. Dave was always there for the community, and I will always wonder what he would have done given more time with us. I'm sure it would have been spectacular.
My deepest sympathies to his family. I hope one day we get to tell little Tyler stories about his dad and how much he meant to so many of us.

This is terrible news - I'm so sad for his wife and little boy.
Thank you, Dave, for all the beautiful stories you brought into this world.

Varin and I will be there for Sunday's visitation and Monday's service. If anyone needs to get in touch with me, message me for my cell number.
I'm still holding on to the hope this is all a bad dream.

Thank you, Dave. You're the reason I'm still part of this wonderful community. If it weren't for Urban Hunt, I would have left a long time ago. But it's because of you that I stuck around and realized how great ARGing and the ARG community really is.

This comes as a terrible shock. Although I never knew Dave personally, I was fortunate enough to witness his keynote this past summer. I'm extremely grateful that I had the opportunity.
To Dave: you are an inspiration; your special place in this community will never be forgotten, and your influence will affect the world for years to come. Thank you for everything you did, everything you were, and everything you still are. May you rest in a greater place.
To Dave's family: as hard as this is for us, I can't imagine how hard it is for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
