What I'd like to know - is that video going to be posted anywhere?

Yes, hopefully by Monday. Spacebass has given me a higher quality version of Dave's keynote so I am going to edit that in first. I'll post a link here when it is up Smile

Sorry for the delay on this. I was having some frustrating video problems (mostly because I'm an iMovie newb) Smile

You can see the video here - http://www.alterati.com/blog/?p=2289

or, for a higher quality version, see here - http://www.pilotlite.com/video/video/111/Dave-Szulborski-Tribute-at-ARGFest-2009

I was walking outside today. The same kinds of early spring flowers and trees are starting to bloom here as those that were in blooming last year when EGo and I went to the viewing.
I thought about Dave the whole walk.
When I returned I checked this thread and realized it is almost a year since he died. It's a cliche, I know, but it isn't the same without him. I can't help but wonder what fun, creative and exciting project(s) he would have been doing if he were still here.

I still miss the little thrill of checking the old websites and finding small updates, little hints that the story wasn't over. I never knew Dave personally but it will always sadden me to know that I'll never again walk in his world.

Now that you mention it...

http://ronsworld.org/
http://strangerthanfictionmagazine.com/

There are still sites missing, but that's a good start.

It's been a long six years, hasn't it?

Message to dave

I just logged on after a long time to message Space and Gupfee . I checked my outbox to check the messages and I found one I sent to Dave in 2006. It just made me really sad. I miss Dave and his warm heartedness and creativity very much.

What is the significance of this brave Dave fellow? Maybe I can pay homage to him in some way by investigating for myself whatever ARG he's left behind.

My Note

Pure Talent and Creativity is who Dave was

I personally never played a Dave game due to lack of knowlage on ARGs

However noticing what an impact he had on the entire community is amazing

Dave's name is set in stone in the ARG and Entertainment Fields

I will forever remember such a great person Dave was

He IS the face of what the Experiance is all about

RIP a Visonary. a Thinker. a Do'er. a Creator. a Fantastic man

Re: Dave Szulborski

Dave Szulborski passed away last night after a long and incredibly courageous battle with leukemia. He leaves behind his wife Marianne, his baby son Tyler, and many many friends both online and in the real world.

If you are interested in attending the funeral services, here's the information:

Sunday night, visitation at Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA from 6-8 PM.

Monday morning, memorial service at St. John's Windish Lutheran Church, 617 East Fourth Street, Bethlehem, PA at 11 AM.

If you would like to send along your respects:

It was Dave's wish that in lieu of flowers, people contribute towards his son's education. You can do so by sending a check to the following:

Long Funeral Home
500 Linden Street
Bethlehem, PA 18018

Make the check payable to Long Funeral Home, and put "Tyler Szulborski Education Fund" in the memo.

Also, there is a memorial page posted at the funeral home site where you can write in the guest book, and there will be an obituary posted on The Morning Call tomorrow.

Last, Dave's wife Marianne would love to hear from you and keep in touch with the community. Her email address is beachmomma8991SPLATaol.com. She said that she is going to put some of the strings of cranes in with Dave to rest.

Farewell to you, Dave my friend. I don't have the words right now to say what you meant to me, but I hope you knew. Crying or Very sad

Has it really been this long? Five years? I still remember the trees that were in bloom when EGo and I went to his funeral and soon they will be blooming again. His death was a huge loss to this community.

Thinking about you a lot recently.... You colored how I play games, and I suppose in some ways how I view the world. I hope I thanked you enough. I hope you knew how admired and loved you were by so many people.

One day, I'll fully figure out where Dale's house in Aglaura would be, and take a drive out.... Maybe make a wish...

Miss you.
