I read somewhere that it's the name of a manga or anime series. But I haven't found it anywhere.

There was a old American cartoon called "Black Star" that ran on CBS in the '80s. In anime, the only Black Star i can find is in the Soul Eater manga/anime.
Again, the ending to the video is a satire of anime that is alot like Adult Swim-style satire (in the vein of Tim & Eric and Perfect Hair Forever. It's not actually anime, and i doubt the voice was japanese.

Watched the video a few more times and took some notes. Here's everything of significance I've got.
The Milwaukee Tourism Committee Is...
President/CEO - Larose Burton
Vice President of Development - Mike Russo
Vice President of Media - Walter Davis
Director of Communication - Michael Lewis
Office Manager - Pooja Mahaal
-During the school scene during the teenager's lecture, we hear a man say something along the lines of "She wasn't in her area. I WILL NOT SIT DOWN." then there is some screaming and shuffling, followed by "Throw em to the GoDSEED fragments!"
-We need to discern what exactly a "dark dollar" is.
-The host thinks the "seasons may be changing" in reference to GoDSEED. Does this mean it will be coming back?
-We need to find out more about this "Champion Dynasty Grant".
Just some extra info that wasn't in this thread already. Also, screenshot of a man with a... robot arm? It's a cut from the jobs portion of the video.
UPDATE:
-We've already seen http://alternativeapproaches.com/pnuke1/Article4791.html but I thought this bit was worth quoting, from a Google search of "Larose Burton President"
Quote:
Hoopeston received finishing funds from the newly-formed Milwaukee Tourism Commission (MTC), a privately-funded bureau that aims to promote Midwestern growth and rebuilding.
"If we want the Midwest to recover, people need to hear Midwestern stories," said MTC President and CEO Larose Burton. "I saw Hoopeston at the New York Underground – and I had SYNYDYNE on the phone before the credits started rolling."

This has nothing substantial to offer, I just wanted to say I'm really excited about this since I live in Milwaukee.
I wonder if Visit Milwaukee or any of the local tourism groups knows this is going on.
... oh, and Black Star is also the name of a band.

One thing I noticed was that the director for Hoopeston, Thomas Bender, is also the credited director on the ThisIsMyMilwaukee video. Not sure of the importance, but the two are definitely somehow connected.

In addition to everything previously posted, here are some of my random ideas/thoughts:
Notice that in the ending credits the anime dude has spray painted the Class C sign so that it reads Class O....?
There is definitely something in the video...or at least on the site, as we have been told to "take a closer look" multiple times. Perhaps we are missing something because we actually need to zoom in?
I'm sure someone has looked into what Go.D.S.E.E.D. could possibly stand for......any findings/ideas on that one?
EDIT: and seriously.....whats up with the robo-arm....? I noticed that as well.

Haha, I'm sorry. I rarely check here anymore. I'm afraid to say I was part of the ILB surge but clearly I've still stuck around a bit

I just noticed this, not sure if it was noted yet. At the beginning in the 'activity center' the screen shows a bunch of kid's art. One has a message written (and I can't read the first two lines) but part of it says 'My father was taken by blackstar for a problem he did. I am sorry blackstar.'
The writing is on what looks like a coloring page with a drawing of that vegetable/bulb thing the guy is seen planting in a previous scene. Above it reads 'these belong underground' under it reads 'where are yours?'

I made some caps that might be helpful. also, flax seed is mentioned twice, once as chief export, once at the end in the song, idk if that has anything to do with anything.

Milwaukee Last year I played an arg (more of a game) about Milwaukee and it turned out to be a promotion for the Casino that they have there called potowatomi. Since this has a jewel and treasure theme wondering if this can be related for this year.
Last year they had mysterious bill boards all over town, and a special key you could get from a specific location which turned out to be the ballpark. They key was a free pass to a special event that was going on at the Casino. At the special event, everyone could enter their key into a drawing which had some kind of large monetary prize.
One person got in trouble when he hijacked the promotion, made up fake keys and started selling them on ebay. Everyone was buying them when the promotion company found out and he suddently pulled the keys, apologized on his website when he got caught.
edited: I checked their calendar on the website, and the calendar only goes up to december 31st - nothing showing for 2009.

Guminudli - About that flyer, it's wrong. Aerosmith never did a song called "Proud to be an american" for the Armageddon film. I bet there are other mistakes too. What could it mean, though?

There are lots of grammatical/spelling errors in the flier.
*In the subtitle, the word concert is not capitalized.
*Gene Kelly's name is spelled Gene Kelley
*Julia Roberts has nothing to do with the musical, or the song. She was, however, IN Closer the movie. There is also that long line, (ellipses?) and the phrase "a little closer" that we have been hearing.
*A should be an, Armageddon has two ds and of course the Aerosmith thing.
*There should be an extra o in Whoops.
*Hoop, maybe a reference to Hoopeston?
*Star Wars is all in lower case.
*No apostrophe in Mans.
Anything else I missed?

It has an invasion of the body snatchers feel Did aliens or demons take over?
They are really clueless about modern culture.
Vermouth in a margarita?
There's a lot of stuff in that video. The problem is to filter out what's unimportant.

That's what's confusing me...
From what I gather, Blackstar created the Go.D.S.E.E.D., and it went out of control, so Milwaukee was destroyed and the Go.D.S.E.E.D. split into fragments..
so... If the Go.D.S.E.E.D. is fragmented, and buried in the ground, why are fragments still running around? What's ACTUALLY buried?
And, what is the thing descending on the teenagers? Is that separate from the Go.D.S.E.E.D. since it's allegedly buried?
EDIT: I just noticed that in the very first shot, when the first person says "This is my Milwaukee", the man with glasses who holds the television during the video game sequence is in the background, just standing there.
