 		Can anyone spare a dollar or two?
Obs reluctantly solicits his friends for donations...<sigh>
Hey everybody,

I made a promise to spread the word on this, so bear with me...

In case you don't already know, my son Evan (9) has type 1 diabetes, and this year we'll be participating in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes , along with a half-million other walkers across the country.

 		Good luck! My JDRF page is now buried somewhere in this board (have to do a search for JDRF).
Ours was Oct 11th. Hope you have as good a time at the event as we did.

 		Wow.

I'm Speechless. (and that's ****ing saying something, y'know?). There's only one thing that I can think of to express how i'm feeling right now, and that's..., well...

Wow.

When I put the hat out for the JDRF Walk last week (about 2 months later than was really responsible of me), I didn't expect much in the way of donations -- after all, it was on very short notice, the economy is hosed, and...i'm kind of a prick, really...

So you can imagine my surprise at the outpouring of support over the weekend!

With everyone's help, our Family Team was able to raise over 1,000.00 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

You guys are awesome. All of you.
