It sounds like we do have LA-ish people, I would expect that we might see a reschedule for a few weeks out in the same spot, if not in the same general area.

I don't know the 3space location for the other people who are working this, but I would expect the PMs will be stalking us a bit to find another location where they're more likely to get people able to participate.

Or they'll offer to snail mail it to one of us

I figured this was why they made the switch to L.A. from S.F. in the first place. They're also likely limited by their own locations.

New audio message from 13 up on 13lights.org:

http://13lights.org/audio.mp3

transcript:

I see you have failed on the first try.
Do not worry anomalies, all is not lost.
I speak to you to warn you, however, the scope is moving faster.
Time is of the essence.
You will need to find where, when, and who to receive it.
You will not need groups unless directed so.
I must rest. The fountain of youth, (...).

Couldn't make out the last word... perhaps 'adieu'?

edit: So it sounds like this may have been a package drop, and not a hunt. Which would mean that next time, unless otherwise directed, anyone in the vicinity of the location should be able to swing by and just pick something up.

Where was your sense of adventure?
I was in St Louis for a convention a few years ago and there was a Graveyard mission for Last Call Poker in "St Louis" so I decided to go for it. Turned out to be about a 30 min ride (and I was paying a towncar to do take me & pick me up) but it was an amazing place/experience that I'll always remember.
Two years ago I drove out to Valley of Fire State Park (about an hour away) to perform a ritual to help the Sammeeeees save the world. It's all part of the fun of ARGs.

Once you do your first live drop/package pickup, you'll want to do it again! It's such a thrill.

So, if anything is ever planned for the greater Las Vegas area, count me in.

Yea, one of the reasons I came back to args was for that type of adventure where I would have to pick stuff up. I'm hoping next package is near NYC.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love live events, and have traveled far out of my to participate in them. They're ARGing at its best. There's nothing like trudging through ghost towns at midnight, or crawling through the basements of abandoned 18th century asylums, without knowing what's around the next corner.

Maybe it's just me, but a 7 hour round trip through L.A. traffic on a hot summer weekend, without air conditioning, to walk around city streets hauling a broken laptop just didn't call to me as much as sitting under the sprinkler, in the kiddie-pool with the godson, sipping margaritas Cool

I'm still more than happy to join an L.A. group if there's a need for it in the future... but I'm sure we can find SOMEONE a lot closer who can swing by for a pickup.

And anything closer to the San Diego area, whatever it be, I'm there in a heartbeat.

Just logged on. Looks like new video at 13lights.org.

Caitlin vlogging to her parents. Will add transcript shortly.

Edit: transcipt follows

Quote:
Mom, Dad,
If you're watching this, it means I'm dead [rolls eyes]...for real. I'm sorry for the whole faking my death thing, but I had to do it to keep you from following me and thus keep you out of trouble. Parker has to pay; the world needs to be rid of that selfish rat, and I'm not the only one that wants it. You've heard of it I'm sure; The Philamana (sp?) Rising. They're the future! They're going to take Sky down, and they've recruited me. I just wanted to let you know, and right now at least, I'm safe. I have my own place here. I just finished my first mission. The broadcast got cut short before it went live, but that we made it as far as we did was a success. And...yeah the undercover work involved wasn't so bad. You would have liked it Dad but I'm sure Mom wouldn't have approved. Anyway, I'm going to do everything I can to bring back our legacy. Taylor Industries will thrive again, I promise. I love you guys. I'm doing this for you. This is our future and I'm going to make it happen, no matter what.

Saw the same, got an e-mail too. I was about to start a new thread... vapor, since you're already on the transcription, I'll let you do the honors...

I'll start a new thread if you think it's neccessary. Otherwise I will just put move my post to the main thread. It could easily get disorganized if we start a new thread every time we get updates.

Actually, that is the reason for being in Potentials and having our own tag.
This is a new development. New video, and potentially new deaddrop to discover.
Certainly should have it's own thread.

Although I agree that the next item will likely be a package drop, everything we got from 13 from the last set of questions strongly implied that we'd need a 'team' and a lot of brain power for the Pasadena event.
