"Game Master" announces a press conference

I received an email from "Game Master" / findthelostringSPLATgmail.com

You know what's great about press conferences? They're very(I¡Ä(B revealing.

Tomorrow morning, the Global Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald's will be holding a press conference. But she won't be alone. And she won't just be talking numbers.

For some, Beijing is only the beginning.

I got the same e-mail, but the illegible part was different in mine:

The "illegible" part are just three dots in the mail that made it to my mailbox. If you don't type them as three separate dots, but use the typographically correct version, I guess the result might look a little strange on some computers, depending on their configuration (as if I were to start typing German umlauts).

It will be late afternoon in Germany - and I'll be at work, unable to watch any live webcasts unless I want to get into trouble.

Therefore I add my plea to dreamerblue's: We need a Twitteronian, please! Sad

Yeah, I just downloaded the e-mail from my web-based service to Thunderbird and the illegible part has been replaced by an ellipsis (that is, a "...")...that illegible part must have been the code for the ellipsis character. And here I thought it was an entry code or some kind of puzzle Smile. Silly new ARG person, thinking everything is a puzzle Smile...

I think that illegible part may be screwing up the rss feed for this forum! Sad

[META] So what do you guys think about the implication of getting an email from the "Game Master" as far as the curtain goes? I kinda find it offensive, but how else could they have gotten the word out about it? Any ideas?

And then there's the "For some Beijing is only the beginning" line. Kinda weird. A continuation of the game maybe?

A press conference to announce a job offer at McD for Alex: "And she won't just be talking numbers. . . she'll be taking orders." [/sarcasm]

McDonald's is going to insist that the Lost Sport become an official part of the Olympic Games from this day forward. They will start up McSport training camps worldwide to milk money from children around the--I mean, to help us win Multiverse Gold in all future Olympiads!

I'm from Argentina and I got the message directly from Game Master too.

About the "For some Beijing is only the beginning" line... I asked Larissa if she would like to go to other world and she answered me "Who wouldn't?". Maybe she travels with the agonothetai and that's why it is "the beginning for some". I don't know, I'm just guessing...

Haven't gotten the message but I should be able to watch - also, will try to record (not sure how though).
