Going back to the Panatrog issue.

I looked up troglodyte, which Mycroft in the Hetfet forum thought trog was short for, on Wikipedia, since I had no idea what it was. I found out that the Latin name for the common chimp is Pan trogolodytes.

Also, troglodytes is Greek for 'cave-dweller'

So I don't know if this helps at all I just thought it might be interesting at the very least.
