Ok, my eyes bleed but i managed to pull a few more letters out of that end. There are probably a few more but right now, I can't face doing it again xD

In regards to jscdragon's discoveries:

IMAGE 1: I found the first inbetween the "bureau" and "59" - looks like "46".

IMAGE 2: The second is part of the end...I can't quite see jscdragon's bit but it tacks on the end of it, i think. If you take the "ON" for reference.

IMAGE 3: I've tried to put it on top of jscdragon's for simplicity.

Also, yes, projectionists have a head and a foot on the film. It should also ocntain a bit of film info - title, etc - but this doesn't look quite legit. And trust me, I scratch on film for a living and to get it that clear it's gotta 16mm at the least xD The text does blur/blend in a way you'd expect it to though. Just random observations Very Happy

I'm wondering still about this 119500 number, unless it is just the prize...

Also wondering if the dominoes (and colour changes) are important along with Juan's gold tooth. Probably all irrelevant at this stage but just thought I'd make a point of it .

EDIT: I have a feeling Foot is something that is written on the end of a film, head being written on the lead in, for the projectionist, see my earlier post.

Yes, the first word on the last part of the film is definiately FOOT. See photo below. I took the time to put the .flv in flash, and saved every single frame of the movie. It took quite some time. At first it didn't make sense, even when rotating the letters, and finally realized that it is a "negative" so after rotating it updside down, you then have to horizontal flip it to get the mirror image. So the first word is defintely foot. I spent so much time on the frames I don't have time right now to do another word.

Also, there is definite change of colors of the dominos. First when dominos are laying there, brown, 1 black and 3 white dominos (5 in total)

then when they are set up, there is
1black, 1 white, 1 reddish brown, 1 black, 1 brown (5 in total)

Edited: sorry so big - i'm tired. Maybe I can post all the frames on a webpage and someone can have time to rotate, flip and layer together.

VERY clear. This definitely seems to be the method to use. I have Flash 8 but for some reason, it won't let me import the flv file to play with :/ It also won't let me fill images with colour but that's another story...

Going back to the Domino evidence, we can see only two dominoes @ 0:17

Black: 1/4
White: 3/5

Not sure what that means, if anything, but its just an observation

Going back to the Domino evidence

While the domino colors could be a clue, I think we might be miss-seeing things.

Looking back, and pausing the video over the frames with the dominoes, it seems to me that the five are always there and that the middle one is always brown.

The first time we see them, before Juan sets them up in a line, the brown domino almost blends in with the table. Juan makes a motion, picking up the brown domino before he starts setting them up.

So I don't *think* there's a color change or any mysterious appearing domino.

Ramon Movie Frames

OK, I put all the movie frames on the internet if someone has time or wants to start getting the message. Maybe we can post each word at a time so people won't be wasting time on the same word.

Those pictures labled frame1.jpg - Frame65.jpg is from the last half of the movie.

Those pictures labled image1.jpg - image37.jpg is from the first half of the movie.

The picture labled frame1word1.jpg - is the first word FOOT. It was made from frame17.jpg, frame18.jpg, frame19.jpg ,frame20.jpg. and frame21.jpg.

So it would be a good idea to start with frame22.jpg and the next frames.

Go to link "index" for all the photos. You can then right click and saveas. Maybe take about 8 frames and see if you can get a word.

I used photoshop, file, new canvas.
Then opened all the photos, dragged each photo into it's own layer on the canvas. Then rotated each one 90 degrees (image, rotate, 90degrees CW), then slide them around like a puzzle until they fit. When they fit, merge the layers so they are all together, then edit, transform, flip horizontal.

EDITED: the photos are in order

Looking at them that way, in order, it's easy to see that quite a few of the images are repeated. That should help in the reordering process.

ok I spent the last couple of hours and did my little mac.flash flv frame extraction, combined them into the single reel, then did a little COREL *cough* magic and removed the overlays. After removing the duplicate/sticky frames, and just generally touching up a bit, this is what resulted:

(still have to do the end half)

ok so the LAS VEGAS NEWS BUREAU has a huge photo archive, trying to find a way to access it online atm, I'm thinking the number is possibly a date or maybe a reference number of some kind...

EDIT: found one reference page, kinda
http://www.library.unlv.edu/speccol/photographs/0049_lvnewsbureau.html
I'll keep looking

As far as I can make out, it's a department of http://www.lvcva.com - they have a few pictures, nothing more. There seems to be no stand alone site.

Well, this might be useful, the photographers working at the news bureau in 1959 were Joe Buck, Jerry Abbott,Milt Palmer and Don English.

As far as I can tell from reading a load of google results, if it IS a photo we're after, that's only a guess on my behalf, then the photo's from their collection aren't online yet. So we'll have to email them or something and ask...

However... still don't know exactly what it is we need, if it's a date I've lossely googled both date possibilities (american and english) with las vegas to see if anything specific happened on that day but haven't found anything yet.

They also have an old film archive...
I'm half worried that maybe the PMs have simply "sampled" the ending from an old LVNB film to make the clip look authentic and we're just too damn good... hehe. It is for example completely wrong that it says FOOT at both ends, the begining should say HEAD as confirmed by plugs.

EDIT: in fact forget about being half worried, I'm almost convinced that's what's happened now i think about it Evil or Very Mad
