You get credits automatically, every day. It's a percentage (3% for low credit holders) of your total available credits, with a minimum daily allotment (20 credits guaranteed if the previous math doesn't help).

Beyond that, patience.

Another way of making credits is the completion of a task. You also receive Prestige and Karma

They show up daily, in the early morning. I think sometime around 3AM EST (don't remember the exact rollover time)
