Most of the rivers in that area look to be east/west rivers. they dont meet up like the lines that connect on the map do. at least from what i can tell from this map:

map lines

I thought those lines would be rivers too, but they don't match up. I was looking just at the Nebraska area of the map, since I live here and am most familiar with this area. There are no rivers that go through Nebraska north-south. They're all east-west. Here's a site from the Games and Parks commission that clearly shows all our rivers. None north-south, like that big squiggly line on ajkin.

And I can speak German, so I've been looking through their stuff. Looks like they're pretty much where we are. So we can't be that stupid Smile

Going back to the stars on the barcode. I am wondering if the stars arent some sort of sky chart. Like in this picture:

http://www.viewzone.com/Earth2012.jpg

That is a link from this site. Its a pretty good read and i think we are on the right track with the 2012 thing. Mayan Calander, The Sun (Sungod), Weather. etc.

http://www.viewzone.com/endtime.html

Also with the Mayan long count calander there is 5 numbers seperated by .'s. They look remarkably like IP addresses only with 5 octets instead of 4. If we had a good date to work off of perhaps we could convert it somehow...

I went ahead and opened up http://www.ajkin.com/test.swf in my browser, plugged in Red Cloud and scrolled back a day so I could click on the guy for the map, and noticed the cloud layer seems to be labeled with that character in the upper-left hand corner.

We discussed that a couple of days ago on the thread. I personally think it's a graphic bug, since it has no meaning, and just looks like a fluke in the code to me...

Jubilus, Please resize the image that you posted above. It stretches the forum too widely.
Thank you, and welcome to uF and the Tom2man Mayan research and damned star puzzle thread. Smile

eta: The map is now linked to "yesterday's" gray stripe. (Thanks Het and enaxor, for helping me figure that out.)

P.S. Thanks, Jubilus.

We did? Sorry, I must have missed it. I'm trying to stay away from repeated information.

Also, I went through and decompiled the flash and the only thing we don't see normally is an image of the border craziness expanding into Missouri.

I'll try to clarify that a bit, drizr.
Up until now, the link to the map was always "today" - meaning that the current date was always the one that unlocked the map.
What happened now is that the map date seems to have stayed at yesterday, which means that now yesterday's date (August 31st, or 9 Mol 2 Imix) is the date that unlocks the map.

What we need to do now is wait and see if it stays that way tomorrow as well. If so, this could be a clue, since it gives us a set date to work with.
Since the Mayan calendar realigns every 52 years, 9 Mol 2 Imix appears in history as well).

The other thing to note is that according to the update history, we should be getting an update tonight (or so tygr20 tells me).

No need for this. Smile
As a member of unfiction I will post in the unforums and in the German wiki if I find something new.

Had a thought, I am wondering if anyone knows the power grids in the US and if they match up to any of the map lines when they change. And furthermore if they do are there any reported blackouts?

This thought came to me thinking about the weather patterns, solar flares etc that are related to an 11 year cycle of solar flares. The next year in this cycle will be 2012. The last one was 2001 and there was power grid outages associated to it. Just a thought.

I tried finding maps to those areas but could'nt see any...

I don't think anything we can get on the power grid will be that specific. Here are a few things I found on the subject:

New map update.

Now the map goes all crazy. All the borders change into a different map. I think it's a map of the same area, but depicting different "borders".
The only borders that remain the same are the waterfront lines.
I'll start fishing around to see what this map is showing us.

ETA - I think I got it, guys.

Since the waterfront lines didn't change, I thought it was probably a map of the same area only depicting something other than state lines.
I found this site, on which there was a two part map entitled "Early Indian Tribes, Culture Areas, and Linguistic Stocks". It basically shows tribal borders, and is color coded according to spoken language (Unfortunately, it doesn't say what time period it pertains to).
I am almost 100% sure that this map contains the information we need.
Below are 2 pictures. One is the aforementioned map, and the other is the latest insanity from Ajkin.com. I used green to highlight the lines I could find on both maps, or at least lines I could reasonably match-up between the maps. Before you is the result. You be the judges.
Remember, they don't exactly match. I think this is mostly because one is an actual map, and the other is just a sketch of one...

That's a great find, HetMasteen!

eta: Here is a wiki page on "Classification schemes for indigenous languages of the Americas", which has the map that Het found, but in one piece. link.

Thanks. Good work on finding the one piece map. Those 2 parts drove me nuts.

The crosses are located in the following Indian territories:
Crow (top left)
Arapaho (middle left)
Yankton (top right)
Oto (middle right)
Osage (bottom right)

The actual locations of the crosses yield no info (at least not that I can find).
The crosses are located on modern day state lines, but are mostly somewhere in the middle of an Indian territory. Maybe this symbolizes the divvying up of Indian territories to the white man?
I don't know. I usually tend to stick to fact work, but that was the first thing that came to mind when I looked at it...
