Finished 41 Pages...

Howdy all!

I just read through the 41 pages posted and am very impressed with you guys/gals. I'm very new to the ARG community, so forgive my noob-ness.

Here's the things that keep itching at the back of my mind:

"Red Cloud" keeps reminding me of the superstorm on Jupiter, which is also called the "eye of Jupiter".

The "hidden images" post by DeadbyDawn: the first image looks like the "face on Mars", the same set of pictures that gave us the "temple" looking structure. Mars is also the "red planet".

Jupiter is the 5th planet from the sun, Mars the 4th, Earth the 3rd. Possible planet-wide destruction counting down to us?

Along with Mayan space theme, the lid of the Sarcophagus of Palenque:
http://www.ancienttreasures.com/lrgtext.php3?product=P-91&CA=11

Quote:
"The Soviet scientist Alexander Kazantev came out with the theory that the relief on the lid of the sarcophagus represents an astronaut and his spaceship but according to the Mayan legend, the symbology of the lid shows King Pacal falling into the jaws of the Earth monster each night to rise again with the power of the sun each morning. Its teeth are enlarged to demonstrate its encompassing power. At the top is the mythological "Moun" bird. The pillar-like construction above Pacal"s head is the tree of life."

The satellite that took the map photo is a weather satellite; possible future superstorm on Earth to cause us to "renew"?

Anywho, hope at least some of this helps.

If anyone is still trying to figure out the stars on the stickers by using Morse Code, here is something I found that gives all possibilities when there are no spaces. It has a limit of 18 characters or less.

There's another one at
http://www.apejet.org/sites/uh/morse2.php
that doesn't have the 23 character limit. It's a little more "manual" and uses a dictionary, but goes down to single letters, so you can spell anything.

I think the whole Mayan spacemen thing is what Indy 4 will be about. Indy 4 ARG? That would be amazing.

This may be too OOG, but you never know.

NASA found Mayan ruins from space recently:

Edit: could someone try and overlay the stars/maps on either of these two pictures?

Has anyone tried to see if the photoshopped clouds or the drawn figures line up with any constellations?

I thought the drawn figures in WI/MI might be burial mounds. Some Native American cultures, including the Ojibwe, built mounds. None seem to have been found that close to the Great Lakes' shores that far north.

Greetings everyone, and well done so far Smile

I noticed that the envelope, as stated before, supposedly originates from a Tom Tooman in Montana. It was routed through North Platte, Nebraska.

I got to thinking about this, and thought "Perhaps the Oregon Trail may have something to do with this mystery". So I looked it up. Here is an image for your perusal:

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=5x931b5

Notice that North Platte is a location on the Oregon Trail.

While reading the wiki article on Red Cloud, I cam across:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bozeman_Trail

Quote:
The Bozeman Trail was an overland route connecting the Oregon Trail to the gold rush territory of Montana. The flow of white settlers along the trail caused several military campaigns between the Indians and the U.S. army.

Also, I noticed that Portland, Oregon is where unfiction is based, and that is also a point on the Oregon trail.

This is really great research everybody. With that said, i still don't know what good it does us. We could line up constellations with burial mounds or anything all day and what do we get from it? I really feel like we're going to need either numbers that make another IP or words that spell a domain name, other than that what else is there? Ajkin.com ends with the map as far as i can tell. There is also the possibility that Ajkin.com will be updated in some fashion soon, either tonight, with the change from Chikchan to Kimi or on the 22nd with the change of Ya'k'in to Mol. Just keep in mind what we're looking for.

Cool beans peace.

speaking of letters and numbers.....

looking on modern day google highway maps at the areas that are marked... i noticed that there were roads named like "C" road, "W" Road. or whatever. Are there alot of roads up north like this? can anyone do anything with this ?

Just throwing out ideas...

edited to add:

These are the ones i noticed:
T Rd, Rapid River, Delta, Michigan
W Hwy on Washington Island, Wisconsin
Q Rd near Sister Bay, Wisconsin
W Rd on Grand Island, Michigan
C Rd between Cornucopia and Washburn, Wisconsin
G Rd going into Ashland, Wisconsin

also eta: I realize there are alot of streets named with letters like DC has A through infinity.. but these roads i found dont have any other letters around, from what i can tell and they're mostly "Highways" not roads. (marked with those white ovals)

Hah! That's why I had someone else take a look at it. I have no idea what any of that means. I'm going to sit over here in the corner and look pretty.

Well I am not an expert at this, either, but what I think we need to pay attention to is stuff like:

It is interesting that the site has been sitting there since November 2000 and the registration has only recently been updated.

It may also have nothing to do with what we are trying to accomplish here.

thats not to say its the only time that its been updated though.. it could have been updated thousands of times since it was created and it would still only give us the last update date.
