whining, pouting, boycotting With all the whining, pouting, boycotting, etc.....I would think that the people in charge would be less inclined to do anything else in the lines of a mystery game.
I stumbled across this site whilst looking for my OWN clues, not trying to get easy answers and have been checking in since the end of the GAME to see if anyone else had gotten their letter. And Yes I am one of the 6000+ winners. Should I send my winnings back and tell them to keep it since not everyone that played had fun?
For gosh sake people, it was a game for entertainment purposes. Did you really think any one person would win it? The puzzles were such that children could answer them.
Get a life! I sure hope that those that are whining here don't participate with the next game....

as far as boycott....the nearest applebys is 40 miles. my whole family drives suzukis. ate at an applebys once 4 years ago out of state when attending a concert. food was ok!
i played this game for the fun of it...i don't need $4...just the principle of the thing! but if a person got the correct answer, the logical thing would be to be verified.
It really isn't any of your business if we all play the next one. You aren't the judge or jury...thank god!!

I bet its a blast to play Monopoly with you. lol
And for the record, I didn't tell anyone to NOT play....only stated that I hoped that didn't. Spoil sports ruin the fun....kinda like flipping up the board game 'cause you aint winning.

After the way they botched this one, maybe they should be less inclined to run any more mystery games...

Need To Vent and Whine I know I put the right answer in and I didn't get a email. Ok I might get the letter in the mail but still I would of liked the email saying I was right.
I just got my email today that confirmed that I had won. I guest they are getting emails out slowly .

Don't really know why I'm responding, but oh well.
The difficult thing about ARGs is your learning process has to be in the public sphere--you never know what's going to happen, what "i" you forgot to dot or "t" you forgot to cross, until the game goes live and hundreds (or in this case thousands) of puzzlers are picking the system apart.
Deep Focus learned their lessons and in my opinion, has taken them to heart. They have responded speedily to criticism and handled themselves quite well. So yes, I hope they continue to produce games of this sort--they told an interesting story, and the lessons learned ensure that the next game will be even better and more engaging. One of the most important thing for companies in this industry is to be able to handle criticism and player feedback constructively, and I think for the most part DF has succeeded.
A lot of the major companies that are involved with ARGs have connections going back to AI's "Beast" promotion. And I'm impressed with the work they do. However, I'm also glad to see new entrants willing to take risks and more importantly make mistakes in the hopes of learning a different form of communication.

People tend to get angy and whine and even sulk when they don't get what they rightfully won/deserve/worked for. Get over it. It will never end. People will continue to moan and groan over lesser and greater things in their lives. I truly believe you should get a life. If you don't like what's being said on the site, forget the address. You made it more than clear you won on your own (so you say) and only came here after the game was over (so you say), so why are you here signed up and posting away?
Best of luck to you in the next game. I'm certain you'll stay away until that game is over to, since you're such an upstanding human being.

Also, no offense, but this game was DEFINITELY winnable without UnFiction. Other games aren't, but this one sure as heck was. In fact, I can't think of anything I didn't solve within 5 minutes of seeing it (and usually they were faster).
