That's one odd way to end an ARG

For a finale, why so late?
For a lot of people, the broadcast is somewhere between 1-5am or something crazy like that.
It seems a shame that what should be the most exciting or important part of the ARG is going to be missed by so many...
...I should stop complaining so much. I basically log in to complain. That must be annoying, sorry. But hey, if this is the finale then I wont have anything to complain about!

Yes! Yes, it did. And I think it was a rather entertaining finale. I'll be transcribing this over the next day or two, but I DO want to give a special unforum Tip of the Hat to our very own matt_the_pale for the shout-out in game.

Okay... so... I just listened to the podcast. Good stuff, they were having a ball during the show, you could hear it, and Dan did a good job of putting some of the pieces together for us (as did Johnny, hahah that was a marvellous recap). However, it was pretty nasty on the technical end.
But, like... what happened? It was entertaining and all, but there seemed to be little or no real resolution.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So okay, Mittelwerk got away, blew up the Hanso Foundation with the military after him. - what does this explain? Very little, really. Where does he go?
Rachel Blake's "whole truth" is that Hanso was trapped in his house by Mittelwerk, but that doesn't explain anything. Nor does Alvar's parentage of Rachel really be anything important.
Where is Rachel Blake now? Seems rather depressing that they'd end this whole story with... nothing significant really changing. Did anyone actually stop the Mittelwerk/Hanso Foundation? Did Alvar get killed?
In the end, what was a fun finale was an unsatisfying finale.
Go Matt_the_pale. Not a Lost fan, first ARG, you rule

Yeah, but at least Lost's finales go out with a bang, not a "smrrrphrrmrrrnrrrhurrrmahnrrr..." as this one seems to - not quite a whimper, but not big enough to be a bang. When Lost doesn't really answer questions, it confuses enough that you scream "DOUBLE-YOO TEE EHF" so loud that you don't here the jangling of loose plot threads
(Also, I'd say that in the past two seasons, Lost has answered enough questions for me... first season actually answered a lot of the questions they posed for themselves while leaving/asking a bunch of others, and season two answered the questions from it's own season pretty thorougly, too)

Thanks for the kudos guys. I was disappointed but not surprised to hear that Rachel said, "If you want to know the whole truth, you will go to ABC.com in five minutes. It's all there, everything"—which of course was a lie: Rachel's video is neither "the whole truth" nor "everything." Thanks for explaining things to us, Rachel. How are we supposed to root for someone who doesn't tell us anything and constantly lies to us?
Makes me glad that Mittelwerk got away. After all, he's their best character.
