[PUZZLE?] Roman's Images from Pages/Book

Since this appears to be a puzzle, I am going to combine all the images and post them here. But since there are many images, I will break up my post to make it easier to read.

First here is the image that Roman added to the Fan Art on Dale's journal and the one like it from Roman Bern's site.
The url's are:
Aglaura Pine submitted by Roman
Barren Soul cover page
Second are the images of the intro page and the background on http://www.barrensoul.com

[Edit - Sorry people, but it is hard to get the images back in the original order since the hack, so i'm doing the best I can]

A few takes on that object below the OM from the front cover.

It looks like an A or as dashcat pointed out it looks like compass the first one I'm not sure what it looks like.

Okay, this is all I'm doing. There is stuff to see in all of these images on this page, but it's going to take someone with more know how than me to get it and better eyes.

Trying to put the pieces together.

You can get Roman from the blue circles and Bern from the red circles.

But also wanted to get Barren Soul to lead to the new site barrensoul.com. The best I can come up with (considering hind sight is 20-20) is take Barren from the word Barrens with the B circled and the s at the end which has the blue line running through it. Follow the line and the next letter it goes through is o, giving "barrenso." Next the red line runs through a y at the end of relatively which with the * for ong's hat showing through makes the y look like an u, so now we have "barrensou." For the l, with no option left, I took the funny looking E from Even and assumed that the words ong's hat showing through made it look like and L, giving "barrensoul." This may not be right but it's the best I can do.

The first image is overlaying and using 20% transparency. The second which is more visible is overlaid and difference is applied.

Like you said, Sylvia, hindsight being crystal clear..... barrensoul.com could have been found by doing a google search of "Roman Bern".
Who'd of thunk one monkey at a keyboard would hit on "to be or not 2b"?

Here is another take on pages 7 and 8.

Quote:
Page 8 - The creatures of the Barrens aren't too hard to find, if you know what you are looking for. If you can find a fresh, dark print, and follow the right ones when you see them, you can find many of the Pines secrets.

I take this to mean "follow the dark print on the right."

The first image is overlaid at 50% transparency and the second is overlaid with a difference applied. I underlined the letters that each print leads to.

Sorry Kimer, i wasn't trying to redo your work. I just wanted to get these up so everyone can look at them and see if there is anything else and to get a feel for what we might be up against. I wouldn't have thought of it right away. But using hindsight, from your solve, once again is how i came up with the above.

Yeah I'm not sure this is trout. It seems to be just a visual of your solve Kimer. As you said yourself you were't able to visually show how you solved it. I'm kind of happy to have this. .

Yeah I thought the trout might be streaching a bit but as I said never got to do it before Rolling Eyes guess since it was put here instead of with the puzzle thread is what threw me for a curve Smile And YES having someone do the visual is GREAT! Razz
