Yeah, but hacking into the Hanso website? The Wikipedia doesn't really explain whether it was part of the Flash or otherwise.
But nobody else seems to have referenced it, so likely means nothing?
Im a bit skeptical, but I guess if it was on the Hanso site it must have been legit. It really sucks that the Hugh McIntyre thing happened because now we have to second guess if things that are out of the ordinary are true or not.
He didn't "hack" the thf, he vandalised the HF entry on Wikipedia

Well, on the Lost experience wiki it says this:
Quote:
May 9, 2006 - Who is Jimmy?
On the morning of May 9, 2006 There where messages such as "WHO IS ALVAR HANSO? TELL US JIMMY!" and "I KNO WHERE U LIV JIMMY!" left in many websites including Wikipedia, The Hanso Foundation website and the Lost Experience forums almost simultaniously before it was removed a few minutes later.
Which to me, would say it appeared on the actual Hanso Foundation website.

has anyone noted that when you cycle through the active projects links the music changes with each click, the snare gets drowned out from the MFI, to WWPDP, and so on and so on .. ....? not sure what this could me but the bass line seems to get more intense closer to the LEP and a lilttle more emphasis on the "lulla-bye beat"

i have just thought of something which may not be relevent but its an idea i have noticed on the joop "webcam" its just a picture which is flickering like its not real and its just a fake, the picture of alvar hanso is like a fake picture saying that even he is not real and the newsletter you cant even sign up for which gives me the idea its fake but all these things have an etch-a-sketch type thing going across them i have 2 ideas to what this may mean either the stuff which have these lines over it are fake(don't exist) or it means you have already got what you need from that source i dont know if it would help but o_O

RSS Feed Working I just noticed that the RSS Feed is working. In the feed it mentions an update to Alvar Hanso's Bio. Some update. That is a complete re-write

I noticed an interesting choice of words in the quote under Mittlewerk's bio. (Sincere apologies if this has been mentioned, I did a forum search on the word with no results!) The quote reads:
Quote:
It is the responsibility of a trusted few to shepherd humanity to a greater future.
Emphasis mine.
Given that everything on this site seems to have some sort of intention behind it, I think that's a very curious word selection. Especially since it's Jack's (and hence his father's) last name....

I agree, that has a real totalitarian vibe to it. Sounds like Hanso know what's best for humanity and will do it even if we don't want it.

Maybe it strikes just me because i am a native german speaker, but why did the puppetmasters choose such a strange sounding name as Mittlewerk?
is it a common name in the US?
to me it sounds awful german and reminds me instantly of a german contrentration camp in which missiles were built.
to choose such a name cannot be a coincidence, in my eyes.
Plus, who better to help in the construction of underground facilities than someone with that name...

That's a good point. He has the same initials as well.

Sorry, way late, but I just wanted to say that this:
Quote:
For all of our lovely tea drinking, crumpet munchin' brothers across the pond no worries mates! Oi you know I wouldn't do you wrong and spoil you anymore then you already are !!
Could be one of the best lines in a post ever. It's true: I'm British and all I do is sit around all day drinking tea and eating crumpets. I am incredibly spoilt. After this schmorgazboard, I like to hop on a double decker red bus and have a drink in the pub.
Really.

What, exactly, has changed on Hanso's bio? It looks the same to me.
The only difference is the whiting out of words... anyone?

[mittelwerk connection contd.] Remember the "Magnus" reference?
Well, Werner von Braun, the lead scientist behind the V2 rockets, had a brother - named Magnus. Maybe Alvar or Dr Mittelwerk is actually supposed to be that guy. Checks out fine with the whole weapons business during WW2 doesn't it?
