#047-orange-circle set-opposites attract ...yet birds of a feather flock together.
If proverbs are supposed to impart such useful wisdom how come so many of them contradict eachother?
There are 18 such gems of wisdom below, can you identify the 9 pairs of contradictory proverbs?
1.Look before you leap.
2.Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
3.Too many cooks spoil the broth.
4.Never judge a book by it's cover.
5.Seek and ye shall find.
6.He who hesitates is lost.
7.Time waits for no man.
8.Clothes make the man.
9.Haste makes waste.
10.Beware of greeks bearing gifts.
11.It's better to be safe than sorry.
12.Curiosity killed the cat.
13.Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.
14.Silence is golden.
15.The squeaking wheel gets the grease.
16.One man's meat is another man's poison.
17.Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
18.Many hands make light work.
whew that was long, a lot of these could go with multiple others?

I'd have to disagree with the above answer - I went for slightly different ones. (Although Darklord's kinda makes sense the answer form wouldn't let you enter those answers in any case)

Is it me, or is this a prime numbered card without a playing card symbol? I just don't see one. I wonder if that means it's an "A Joker" or a "B Joker," or something else entirely?

Strange. Finally got this card yesterday and now that I really look at it, you're right. I see what might be symbols, but I think its just my eyes playing tricks since I want to see one now.
sent an email to cardsSPLAT perplexcity.com
**EDIT**
Looking at the image in the card manager it seems there should be a playing card symbol in the lower right corner above the "shadow letters"

I agree - I can't find it. However on the PXC site it is apparent in the bottom right hand corner.
There has been some discussion here , and one opinion after some cryptic messages is that the card is the

9 of clubs
Not sure how you find it (hence the spoiler) - wonder if it's viewable under UV light or something.

Im not happy with the solution posted above. (I realise it may be accepted, but it doesn't make sense to me).
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
5: Seek and ye shall find = look for something and you will find it
12: Curiosity killled the cat = dont be too inquisitive
11: Its better to be safe than orry = Its bettet to not take risks
17: Nothing ventured, nothing gained = You have to take risks to gain anything.
Now it seems obvious to me that the correct matching is 11:17, not 11:5 (and hence 12:5, not 12:17).
FWIW this site agrees with both of my pairings.
As fot the playing card symbol, on my copy i can clearly see the 9 Clubs in the bottom right corner of the card, just above where the grey letter stops.

Puzzling. I have 2 copies of this card in front of me. Pre release wave 0.5 is a different colour & has no playing card symbol. Wave 2 season 1 is lighter in colour & has the 9 of clubs in the bottom right corner
