[13books][Trailhead] Triskabiblios | the13books

(paraphrased - 2formerlyAtimewaster - nowHere2) - SG

Triskabiblios was an Actual Reality Game. It blurred the 'Line' between Reality and Fact, Fiction and Delusion, Myth and Magic, Opposites and Difference, Reletivity and Similarity, Creation and Rebirth, Magic and Art.

There are a number of involved people, and if everybody who has had a positive creative input was banned from posting in this thread then there would be Zero people here. Because it's The Story that Told Itself. You are the keyplayer

I don't know how important this is, but the "Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree" is from 1984. Just a tidbit. Smile

The poem .jpg is titled Eric Blair, which was George Orwell's real name, Orwell was just a nom de plume/pen name.

Possibly the first of 13 books?

ETA #2:

Here is the passage where the song is contained.

Quote:
It was the lonely hour of fifteen. Winston could not now remember how he had come to be in the café at such a time. The place was almost empty. A tinny music was trickling from the telescreens. The three men sat in their corner almost motionless, never speaking. Uncommanded, the waiter brought fresh glasses of gin. There was a chessboard on the table beside them, with the pieces set out but no game started. And then, for perhaps half a minute in all, something happened to the telescreens. The tune that they were playing changed, and the tone of the music changed too. There came into it - but it was something hard to describe. It was a peculiar, cracked, braying, jeering note: in his mind Winston called it a yellow note. And then a voice from the telescreen was singing :

Under the spreading chestnut tree
I sold you and you sold me:
There lie they, and here lie we
Under the spreading chestnut tree.

The three men never stirred. But when Winston glanced again at Rutherford's ruinous face, he saw that his eyes were full of tears. And for the first time he noticed, with a kind of inward shudder, and yet not knowing at what he shuddered, that both Aaronson and Rutherford had broken noses.
-1984 Pt. 1 Ch. 7

I'm sure there is, but i don't know it. I wasn't even looking for an answer in the .swf, just a clue mabey. I can't even figure out why the answer is in there.
Note to PM's: If you want your puzzles solved "honestly" don't put the answer in a .swf Wink

Varin -
I'm not sure what Time you're in now but I hope this message reaches you in it's correct order. I believe it's the 13th today. Have we made contact before?

I understand you're knowledgeable about such things as Alternate Realities. I too have some practical experience in these matters, but we can go into that another Time. in the meanTime I have the book you will ask for - sorry - it's hard, even now, to get my chronology straight. I'll have to get back to you on the Question though.
Thanks for your help in advance -
Sincerely - Islington

So I guess I'm going to email him in the future asking for a book? Shocked

In case you didn't guess, 0877284571 is an ISBN for a Time travel book.
Practical Time Travel

Published 1936, then again in 1971 and 1980, "How to reach back to the past by occult means, storing animal magnetism, projection of thought forms "

Edit:
"Detailed instructions for storing animal magnetism, the creation and projection of thought-forms, crystal-gazing, psychic concentration and contemplation, viewing one's own aura.".

EDIT: Deleted information that was both redundant and incorrect.
Basically all I gots to say is that, whatever this is, I'm in.
EDIT(yes, again, I know)
I tried a random adress, www.triskabiblios.com/index.html and noticed that I was being redirected to www.vibration13.com/triskabiblios.com/index.html, which immediately lead me back to the 13 book site.
Vibration13 seems pretty interesting... and seems to have very little to do with triskabiblios other than that affinity toward 13. (Just as a brief aside, I freaked out when I first came to this site. Colgate University, where I'm currently a freshman, has a crazy thing for the number 13. Thirteen founders, 13 Oak Drive, zip/area codes start with 13, etc.) So I've been hearing about nothing but this number for the past three weeks. Weird that they'd start a... well, a whatever this is, based on 13.

Ok, looks like time for a post. Those two pages delusional found by decompiling the flash can be gotten to normally, how to get to them below:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The first can be found by mousing over the little flash bit on the main page for about six seconds and a new window opens with it. (here) This has a page with Englishy things mainly about tenses and the like. Other people are probably better than me with this sort of stuff.

There are heaps of clues around on how to get to the other page, like the flash bit saying "you are late", the page with the poem saying "turn back the clock.", the alt text on the smaller poem pic saying "time is relative | overcome time | what year is it" and of course the poem being from 1984.

So literally set your computer clock to 1984 and ~tah dah~ the link now says welcome and leads to here. Quite ingenious flash I thought Smile

I emailed Islington from the email on that last page and got the following reply:
I emailed

I'm sure you'll remember this - show it to yourself later - now - to remind
yourself of it. ManyMoonsAgo<http://www.triskabiblios.com/extraduction.html>

Islington

Also the link he sent me is also accessible now on the main page of the site by clicking on the top image.

Phew. That was a huge post for me Very Happy This is getting good.

on the extraduction.html page there's a link to A time travel msg board.

where Islington (AKA Triskabiblios) writes:

Islington wrote:
It's good to find people who are on the same wavelength! Finally, a few voices of experience out here in the wilderness of Transtemporal wanderings.

I'm Islington. I'm looking for the 13 books, the essential encrypted information I need to travel. I'm stuck without them, lost, in a shakey state of flux. And alone. All my colleagues at Triskabiblios seperated from me in the event in which the 13books were first lost. The accident cost me dearly. Now, I'm flitting between chronologically significant points, seemingly at random. I need those books, they must be brought together.

So... I need your help.

It's going to be hard... cryptic coincidences you would normally filter out... but I know (with the benifit of optimistic hindsight) -that your help is both vital, and gratefully recieved.
