[PUZZLE] Playing Card Suits on Cards Some people have been noticing that a some cards have playing card number and suits in the corner. I've noticed a few on my cards so thought it may be a good idea to have a thread to collate our data. On some of the cards they are actually pretty hard to spot, I only noticed most of them just now when I was looking for it in particular.

thinking that this may be something to do with the solitaire cipher on the silver shuffled card, maybe once we get em all, the words on the cards will match up like a jigsaw and give us the deck order. and maybe the words themselves will be a message or key or something?

That seems to be where this is going, but damn is that one complex puzzle. Are all the silvers going to turn out to be this involved?

To say the Silvers are going to be tough to solve is an understatement Can't wait to see the other ones.

Solitaire cipher as in the one mentioned in Cryptonomicon ?

I've just noticed something peculiar, although it may simply be a coincidence. Take a look at http://wiki.incognitus.net/ppc/index.php/Playing_card_symbols -- what is immediately noticeable is that all the playing-card, uh, cards are odd. What may not be readily visible is that every single one of them is a prime number. (243 itself isn't; it's 3*3*3*3*3.)
EDIT: I just checked to see how many prime numbers there were between 1 and 255. The answer: 54.

Indeed, this is an interesting find!
So are we to assume that card #'s:
2 3 5 7 11 13 17 19 23 29 31 37 41 43 47 53 59 61 67 71 73 79 83 89 97 101 103 107 109 113 127 131 137 139 149 151 157 163 167 173 179 181 191 193 197 199 211 223 227 229 233 239 241 251
will all have a suit (or Joker) on them? Should we go back and scrutinize #13 (Sphinx) and #181 (Down, A, B, Up, Up, Right) as they seem to have no suit on them?
I wonder if the Reimann card has anything to do with this. Is there a simpler relationship between the first 54 prime numbers than for ALL primes?
I like this line of thinking except for the two prime numbered cards we have seen with no suits.
[EDIT: The Wiki says #181 is the 10 of Diamonds ... is this right?]

If I remember correctly, those two cards were both special in the fact they were released unconventionally (333, E3, etc) so they may have been prototype versions without a symbol. If anyone has these cards from the actual packs, then have a check and let us know!
