The thing I hear about it being deliverd by a Steam like system makes me wary of the game tho.

Looks like they didnt want to have the high-graphic feeling HL2 had (HL2 was a expensive game to make).
And I really prefer a actual DVD that I can pay in cash, I dont own a creditcard.
Most childeren dont have creditcards, but maybe this game is 18+
Where do these screenshots come from, are those recent screenshots?

Its not being delivered by a steam like system dont worry....Its being delivered by steam
I really hope they work out the bugs with that.
I can play Halflife2 fine, but I can only play counter strike in a window and have since it was released.

Actually its not that they aren't going for a more realistic feel, its that the sin universe i believe is supposed to be in an anime style feel, thats why i liked the first one so much, it had a great atmosphere.. the grahpcis are supposed to look somewhat cartoony if i am correct? I like the style.. but i too do not like the 'delivered by steam' method of getting the game..
is blade supposed to be black or white?
one more thing to add while i am thrilled to see the return of sin, i'm kind of dissapointed to see that its an episodic thing.. The main reason is, i love to sit down with a full game knowing i'm going to have 15-20 to even 30 hours of gameplay, i like following the story getting to the next level.. I'm afriad with this, i might play an episode, and think its coool, but then want to move on to some other game, or just get tired of waiting for the next episode.. i mean realisticly, lets face it, these things are going to come out every week like your favorite tv show.. its PROBABLY going to be one every 3 months or 4 ... thats kind of a long time to wait just to play a 1 or 2 hour section of the game, at least in my opinion.. But i'll be glad to get anything sin related.. just wish it was a full game rather than small parts here and there..

Actually, it looks like we're gonna have 6+ hours of game with each episode.
Can't wait.

If I'm guessing right, It's not gonna be an hour or two of gameplay and then just leave you hanging for a few months. It'll probably be like a TV episode - a set beginning and an end to each episode, each one unfolding the main plot a little more. Like a TV show, you could watch(play) one episode, and be satisfied with what you played, and not just be left hanging after every episode. The episodes'll probably have a decent length to them too...I'm hoping between 3 and 6 hours. No one's gooing to want to drop $20 for an hour of gameplay.

Well thats the thing, when a company says so many hours of gameplay they usually mean finding everything and exploring everything, and while i may do that, i'm still a bit let down by the small amount of time.. Now if its as you say, and each episode is like a long section of the game, and they maybe release 2 or 3 episodes to start (so you can buy all 3 and have a full game nearly) that would be cool...

RPG/Adventure game wise, I can see this, but there's not much to find and explore in an FPS. It's usually charge, shoot, charge, find locked door, go back, get key, charge, shoot, repeat. I'm hoping in that 6 or so hours of gameplay they're not counting stopping to check out billboards and the such for "hours of gameplay"

Hehe, I guess I just have a thing agasint Steam. I don't like the fact that in order to play a game you buy you gotta connect to their server to get the files decrypted. What if you reinstall the game like 20 years from now and those servers are nowhere to be found? Things like that bug me, it's like they hold too much power over a game that you want to play. I can't seem to find the right words to explain it. Too controlling or something.

I agree.. after playing this ARG i have wanted to go back and play sin! (and have installed it on my laptop tho it refuses to work in GL mode.. and sin doesnt support d3d).. I can still play in hardware mode, but regardless, if that game was hosted on some online file thingy, it would have been what, 7 years ago? (98 i believe) and the changes of it still being around or even having the game could be remote, and that would suck if i wanted to play it again and couldn't..
Now if you are allowed to burn it, and play offline, i have no problem with a content delivery solution like that.. But i wasn't a fan of half life 2 becuase of steam..(the game was great, but not being able to play unless you have internet isn't)..
I would suspect or HOPE some day in the near future valve will start selling value editions of the games on CD without the steam.. but maybe not!
Do we have any kind of concrete release date for the first sin episode? I thought i read winter of this year? (meaning november or december).

HL 2 was able to be played without the internet, the CD version was released and you could still usyour steam logon offline to play the game. also it was said sin wuold be released on CD so it will be the same. But a steam release will get it out months in advance, allow content updates to the game and make it cheaper. Steais a good thing, itahs its drawbacks but thosehave been countered, it has helped the market alot(and HL 2 has advanced the industry in its standards).
