numbers.wav decoded?

i took a stab at decoding numbers.wav and came up with something very interesting. its not exact, but theres something there. i took all the numbers as ascii values for something else and came up with this:
 Spoiler (Rollover to View): 89 11117 32 104 97 116 104 32 98 101 103 117 110 32 121 11117 114 32 106 11117 114 110 101 121 32 You hath begun your journey 116 11 32 107 110 111 19 108 101 100 103 101 32 16 104 101 32 116 105 109 105 100 32 t kno ledge he timid 15 104 11117 108 100 32 110 111 16 32 97 16 16 101 109 112 116 32 16 111 32 102 105 110 100 32 hould no a empt o find which im guessing is "You hath begun your journey to knowledge the timid should not attempt to find." the ascii value of 32 is a space, and happens right where i thought they should be. there are some holes, but there are numbers there that arent ascii, like the two 16's where the t's should be in attempt. 116 is the ascii for t. also, for some reason the 11117 i had to make 'ou'. even though it isnt exact, the ascii for 'o' is 111 and for 'u' its 117. maybe the encoder missed a 1 in there. also, the first letter in there is capitalized.

its entirely possible that i screwed up, but it looks too close to be random. any thoughts or ideas on where to go now?

after talking with darkstar about it, he suggested i look at the length of the tones. everytime i was missing a letter, it was only off by a missing '1', such as the back to back 16s where t's should be in 'attempt'. in each of those 16's, the 1 is of length 241. if i add an extra 1 to the ascii wherever theres a 241 length tone (which only happen on 1s), the phrase finally comes together. It even solves the 11117 as 'ou'. now the phrase finally comes together as "You hath begun your journey to knowledge the timid should not attempt to find". I didnt take into account the numbers that are of length 90. i tried to do an ascii conversion of those but it doesnt work. we'll keep trying though.
