So,i'm guessing that this Peter person is going to be "dead" "soon". Has anyone found out more about him, I've tried but no luck so far.

I have been following along. I really don't have much to add except that in The Myth of Sisyphus, a Magpie is mentioned. There is such thing as a Black Magpie, but I haven't gotten anything to work as far as a password. Probably nothing, but I figured I would mention it.

So far we've got Peter, dead, soon, 10/31/12. Looks like Halloween is going to be a bit more exciting then I thought it would be.

Anyone have any idea what's going on with the poem?

I've been lurking, thought I'd point this out:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are six blocks of binary in the video, the blocks being different each time they flash on the screen. They each have four characters, and decoded and put together are: lonedead.dead.dead.alone

I'm confused about the correlation of the birds to the poem, as a lark certainly isn't black.
also, perhaps liar, is reference to the Lyrebird?

anyway, found a hi res image of the face in the code:

nope

So, I figured out the password.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the book code list there are these arrows (or whatever those are called) in front of the words and there are two words with two arrows in front of them, so the pw is liaralone. It leads to a page with the youtube video and a link to a pdf, which is also password protected.

The PDF looks like James patient file.

PDF contents
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
CASE NO. 11-9-14-7 STEVEN’S ST. INPATIENT
PATIENT
FIRST NAME: JAMES__________ LAST NAME: _________________
DOB: UNKOWN (ESTIMATED AGE 6)_ SOC. SEC. #: _ _ _-_ _ _-_ _ _ _
PSYCHIATRIST: MARY MCCRAFT,PH.D
SESSION NOTES – 7/14/92
James still refuses to speak. To my knowledge, the only time he has spoken was to tell the social services worker his name when he was found wandering downtown last month. I am continuing to ask him questions about his family, his hobbies, and favorite cartoons. He never responds, or provides any indication that he can hear me, but continues to fill pages with his drawings. When I introduced myself and told him my name, he laughed audibly, though he didn’t look up from his drawing. The constant preoccupation with sketching doesn’t concern me nearly as much as that laugh; it was cynical, and judging somehow, not the peeling laughter of a 6 year old. Never have I heard a child chuckle like that.
The drawings are, however, disturbing, yet also sophisticated. He constructs images by shading in the page with violent black strokes, and the remaining white space takes the form of trees, birds, or indistinguishable, featureless humanoids. The lack of feature distortion in these drawings is what impresses and
disquiets me. When most children James’ age draw, the proportions of their subjects are usually moderately to severely skewed. This is partly because the young mind perceives features, i.e. hands, feet, heads, size to surroundings, more subjectively than the adult mind. The images in James’ drawings, however, show proportions that suggest an uncanny level of developmental maturity and artistic skill, though the aforementioned humanoids he draws tend to be taller and more slender than the average person. That and the use of negative imaging also indicates a kind of intentionality uncommon before the age of fourteen or fifteen.
After reviewing the information in his medical checkup, and observing his behavior, I am confident that James is suffering from moderate to severe post-traumatic stress. And while I would never in any circumstance diagnose a child as young as James, he is showing clear symptoms of early disassociation, likely brought on or triggered by aforementioned trauma.
I will recommend that we increase my sessions with James to twice a week.
END FORM

Check the drawing that takes you there. Turn the what into a who.
Coincidentally, it's how the good Doctor assigns case numbers.

So we have a James and a Peter, and Mary.

PRESENT:
Peter is going to die tomorrow
Something is happening on Dec 3rd.
PAST:
James is drawing odd things (the description of which reminds me of Samara's X-ray things from The Ring, using negative space instead of positive. Herefuses to speak and is currently being kept as an inpaitent (meaning he lives there) at St. Stephen's (Hospital? Institute?). He's currently around 20 by the looks of it (the date on the record is '95)
Mary is Jame's AP, and has been seeing him for a month prior to the record that we have.
And then we have what appears to be SM- though it could also very well be some other creature, lots of myths/legends have tall, thin creatures of various types- The Man in the Hat, the Shadow Men/People- both of which are more modern, but there are some others that are more ancient- The Fair Folk were often seen as willowy, lithe... And the mention of multiples makes me hope maybe it is it's own creature(s).)

Hm. I like.

The site's been updated! New image on the mainpage which leads to a newspaper article.
Looks like it may not be slendy! " ...Fatal wounds ranging from blunt force and lacerations from bladed weapons to what appear to be animal bites"
Getting interesting!
