So this is probably that "detective" from Dark Harvest, then? Oh Lawdz. I thought it was pretty certain that he was actually a cultist. That's wonderful. NOAH YOU'RE SO SMART. *headdesk*

On the other hand...does this mean Mary was a mad cultist too? It would make sense as to how she got hold of that diary and whatnot.

Okay, now I'm actually a little bit intrigued for the crossover.

Also, love your username InnsmouthFolk. How's the water there? Razz

I don't know, there's something about it that's a little fishy...

As for Dark Harvest, is it worth getting into? I've watched up to Log #8 and it doesn't seem to be great. It's OK but some of the acting feels stilted and the whole thing seems very derivative of Marble Hornets (but then again TT started off that way...). The KindVonDerRitter's "robe" ain't foolin' anyone either, it's clearly a dressing gown. When does it pick up if it does at all?

Hmmm...must avoid New England in the future...

Dark Harvest definitely gets better as it goes on. If I recall right, fit hits the shan right around #14 or #15, and it's all uphill (for we the viewers, at least) from there.

I think we're assuming that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
it's going to wind up being that Detective Amsel mentioned in one of the earlier videos
but we could be entirely wrong about it.

Personally I'm kind of happy for crossovers. As long as they don't make it so that one has to watch a bunch of vlogs just to keep up with one, I'm fine.

I liked it. I found it amusing that Noah has seven pictures of himself hanging up on his wall.

Also, with his hair short, he looks like Ken from This Is The Monkey House. Maybe that's just my imagination though.

Well, I think Noah's acting in TribeTwelve is some of the best out there, there's no doubt he's improved. And let's be honest, the other actors in TribeTwelve are the sources for all the "TT HAS BAD ACTING HURR" sentiment. But in the end it's all matter of opinion, really.

I didn't mean to incite any negative emotions. I wasn't trying to hate on TT; I was simply encouraging InnsmouthFolk to watch Dark Harvest further by using TT as an example of how much a series can improve over time.

My wording in my earlier post was a little weird on trying to communicate that, though. Whoops.

Wow, this is moving fast. We may have a new video by the end of the week.

Oh, God, I hope so (but if we have to be patient, we have to be patient)

Something else I forgot to menticon - the dialogue was very naturalistic (as it pretty much always is for TT) and effective and Adam's delivery was great. (as it always is) I loved the last entry, but some of the dialogue did feel a little bit like exposition (but still moving and very well delivered by the actors and it didn't affect my enjoyment all that much), but there were no such problems here.

Personally, I really don't like the idea of the various Slender series crossing over. Most of the Slendy series sell themselves as a lone protraganist(s) agasint malovent forces that don't understand and that's where the tension derives from.

The TJA/HYBRID crossover worked brilliantly because of just how damn tragic it was. Amy and TJ, by chance, met someone who could have helped them with their Slendy problem and extra numbers to help spread their search for TJ's daughter, Amy and TJ could have given the HYBRIDs some outside perspective on what was clearly happening to Evan (plus, some probably much needed girl time for Jessie later on) . But neither of them knew of each other's problem and they went back to their terrible predictment alone. (Okay, we have to suspend disbelief that Amy and TJ didn't read the various comments about the HYBRIDs have similar problems to them, but still...)

While all have to suspend our disbelief that due to Adam's budget constriants that Noah won't be leaving Flordia anytime soon (and what happens in each entry always distracts me from this), but the HYBRID crossover did remind of this - because I was just left wondering: why the hell wouldn't Noah stay with these guys? He'd go back to being Slendy stalked and relying on mostly clueless internet viewers? That the HYBRIDs didn't investigate Noah's case closer to see how it affected them (particularly given the Fairview children were stalked by Slenderman AND Milo was stalked as a child by a creature pretty much identical to The Slenderman?) or look into bugged me as well or that Noah wouldn't come to Vinnie's aid in his time of crisis?

Part of what makes Tribe Twelve so damn heart-wrenching and painful to watch is Noah alone dealing with these malovent forces and watching him crumble bit by bit. He has no one except the internet crazies who believe in him (not saying we are internet crazies, but in game) and can't turn to family or friends because he doesn't want to put them in danger (and in the case of his family, probably locked up) Having Noah being able to call the HYBRIDs after a rough day does take a bit out of the situation (well, it should, but as I said before, I'm usually pretty distracted by what's going on until afterwards) and have a bro talk does undermine this tension a bit.

Yes, we had an out of game explanation that the scrossovers wouldn't affect each other that much for it, but it still didn't run very smoothy in either series narrative - and I still don't like it that the Everyman HYBRID or Dark Harvest creators might have to comprimise something just because it might affect each others stories, no matter how slight.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the crossover elements, the fact that Noah was existing in the same space of the HYBRIDs just made my head explode and I love the way the boys interacted with each other, but, yes, overall and the entries on their own were brilliant, I just felt that the reprecussions of the crossover just weren't deal with and that everything just want back to the staus quo with no real explanation.

Heh, Adam is one of the few people who can carry off a beard in my opinion. But, he also looks pretty good without. (Oh God, I sound so stalkerish right now)

LMFAO!! Jordan--that's PRICELESS! I have a bad sinus headache today and it's gloomy here and raining and I was kinda in a bummed state of mind but reading your depiction of me literally gave me a belly laugh. Laughing

What's even FUNNIER is,I have long curly hair that my GF's over the years have loved to play with and fondle and several of them have requested locks and I obliged.I also have locks of their hair (cuz I believe in reciprocity!LOL!)
I am completely SERIOUS.

On topic--Welp..guess I'll just have to abide the cross-over.I strive to stay open-minded.I'm ok with certain things overall as long as they remain fairly straightforward to follow and actually ADD to the storyline or if something is a clever one-off.What I don't like is when I am following umpteen series and they are ALREADY convoluted in their OWN universe and then add to it and it becomes some huge clusterfuck just for the sake of doing a cross-over.
Some series one already needs a damn tour guide to follow and keep up with every nuance and scrap of paper and in game, out of game, around the game,game-with-a-game. Confused
I will be curious to see what happens once the major series end in about 5-6 months (if we are to believe the creators of said series)

I'm guessing the manifest is for The Organization. Does anyone wanna rewatch my_last_betrayal or Gregs tape 3, and see if any of the members are doing something different from the others. We may be able to find out what the Oracle does.

I just can't believe his first name really is Detective. But there he is, first one on the list. Stupid cultist parents giving their kids wacky names.

Also, more DH crossover-ness. Noah is buddies with Daniel from Project Egypt, and they seem to be planning a road trip.

Very OOG, but not very spoiler-y.

Guys, I have a confession to make. Ever since I had come up with the TribeTwelve series finale several months ago, I've been slowly realizing that although it was an awesome idea for an ending, it had also been somewhat weak and plot-holey. Fortunately, last night, my friend Will and I had a random brainstorming session. We stayed up till 5am bouncing thoughts off of each other and eventually came up with several complex ideas along with a slightly altered and extended ending to the series. In order to accompany these vital ideas in snugly, a few things had to be changed, but these small changes make a world of a difference in the grand scheme of the series. In the end, our brainstorming session helped create some fantastic concepts that filled the gaping plot holes that we had addressed, making the overly ambiguous mysteries have more depth, meaning, and giving a much more coherent and intelligent twist to the story. The ending in particular has been drastically improved; think of the initial ending as a birthday cake, and think of the new ending as a wedding cake. At the end of the night, we reread the notepad that we had written our ideas on and went all giddy at how beautiful everything came together. What we have created is a magnificent triumph of non-linear continuity, logical concept, and abstract thought, and if you can comprehend what we have done when we pull all this off, feel free to shed a tear. The final product will be a beautiful thing, and I can not wait to share it with you all. ♥
