The Operator's voice...
Does the Tall Man laugh?

I've read (somewhere on this forum, I think) that in a few entries, you can hear a faint chuckle or a slightly demonic laugh that supposedly belongs to the Operator.
Does anyone know anything about this, and if it's true, which entries are these where I can hear what may or may not be the Operator's voice?

Entry #23. Look at the Transcript for more details.

Not confirmed if it's the Operator truly laughing though, by any means.

Zarggg will probably merge this, but it's still worth answering. Nonetheless, small things like this should go in the latest entry or the general discussion thread. Normally I don't have a problem with multiple threads, but this is really just a quick "Question --> Answer," open and close thread.

EDIT: Sorry, wrong link.

ModEdit (Zarggg): Fixed link.

This is actually a valid question. However, the answer is simple and doesn't really need discussion:

So far, the Operator has not spoken, except perhaps to echo Jay's words in Entry 23.

Didn't he maybe speak in Entry #29.

There's some voice stuff that sounds kind of similar to what went on in #23 after the 40 second mark and on until TO actually appears, yeah. It's a lot less clear there though.

Then again, he doesn't have a mouth, which might make talking difficult.

Unless he speaks telepathically or something. Or maybe the white face is a mask under which he hides his true identity? No... that's dumb.

Well honestly, the fact that sometimes the audio distortion isn't actually a distortion of natural sound (as far as we can tell) but appears to be entirely produced by the Operator being there (#40, the cow noise, #51, the weird noise that comes up when he appears), he probably does have a method of making noise. Whether or not the sound is there if you're actually in front of him, or if it's only a result of him messing with electronics to create sound, isn't something we can figure out.

But Jay appears to hear the noise in #23, when the "hello" is repeated, and the cameraman from #29 also appears to react when those voicelike sounds occur. So it does appear that TO can cause sound disturbances in real life as well as on camera/in recorded audio.
