We'd both seen it previous to joining our friends in a viewing on their anniversary.
Then we watched it once on our anniversary and, afterward, vowed not to make that a habit.

Not Almost Famous. But a lot of the people in that movie who really were famous later found a home in the city that is the main setting of this movie.
Probably giving it away by telling you it's a normal nerds epic.
