yes its the same person, its the same exact mask that appears slightly different bc of the night vision

I mean, that's what I figured, I was just considering that theory where there might be two hoodies and two masks. I'm pretty sure that theory has been buried though.

But yeah, I'm 99.99% sure that's supposed to be the Hoody from #41.

Did anyone notice that Brian looked a little cocky in the last entry? It could be that he’s just a confident cocky sort of guy (or more then likely knew that the movie was more then a little shit and was trying to keep a straight face and couldn’t believe he had been dragged into it) or that…he knew what was going to happen to Tim, Alex and the rest of the crew. Maybe he’s The Operator’s operative? Or maybe he actually controls The Operator and takes some sort of sick pleasure in seeing people squirm?

I’m also wondering if Tim’s anxiety and undisclosed aspects of his illness are just that: an illness. His illness grew worse due to the events of the filming of Marble Hornets and his encounters with The Operator leading to the creation of ‘Masky’. Tim and Brian actually seem to be really good friends, so maybe, Brian watched Tim’s descent into madness and wants to have revenge on Alex, amongst other things, for this? Perhaps, wearing a mask like Tim’s is the only way he can communicate with Masky and settle him down? (If he is Hoody)

Wow you got all that out of Brian being a bit cocky? To be honest I don't even see it, he hardly even talks in this entry and he seems quite normal... The other times we see him he's acting in front of the camera and Alex is saying what he has to do so if he seems cocky then that's because Alex wants him to look that way.
Brian has always looked like a normal/decent guy to me.

Em...I think you might be grasping at straws here. Not to say we all are and that summarizes most of the speculation that occurs here, but it seems to me this is a little more seeking than nessecary. I do applaud your attempt at trying to find indicators, but I don't even really see what you mean...

I don't know about this either. In fact, I don't really understand the message you're trying to convey. If Brian wants revenge on Tim, why is he trying to communicate with him via a mask, and "settle him down"? Not to mention that it's pretty probable that Masky and Hoody are working together to achieve the same goal. Example: Entry #45, I believe. Not criticzing, just...ya know. Cool

55 implies that Tim has had occurrences with the Operator for a while now. So if we imply that Tim is a part of TTA then Tim could have been the reason that the Operator showed up but he's trying to place the blame on Alex.

think about it: Decay was obviously blaming Alex for everything that has happened but that could have been Tim just covering his own ass. Same with enntry #37. If it was TTA (Tim) who posted that video, he could have modified it to make Jay believe that Alex is the root of all these problems.

Kinda farfetched but whatever. Poke holes in it all you want Smile

Even if Tim is the reason the operator started bothering them, alex started sacrificing his friends (implied not against his will) which is something tim never did (that we know of at least). there's a reason totheark is mad at alex, and i think it's because that reason (also that one thing that said "did you see what he did to the twins, i saw it" - to me it says alex has done things we still don't know about)

so yeah tim might be the reason he started bothering this specific group of people, but alex started working with the operator and that is why they are mad at him

it kind of makes you think why did nobody bitch about the end of 35, what did they just leave him in that building? jay knew this guy was following him and breaking into his house and stuff, why just leave him there rather than imprison him lol

I just assumed they left Tim lying about with a gimp leg because if they called the cops Alex would be arrested for assault (stabbed or not, he didn't just defend himself, he tied Tim up and whacked him with a rock) and Jay may be found accessory to the crime (maybe). Which, looking back, probably would have been a MUCH better fate than what has happened. I guess they figured too that Tim was sort of out of it mentally so he wouldn't be calling the cops on them any time soon.

And of course to explain anything about this would make the police think they were all out of their minds.

Obviously that's a lot of assuming and guessing, but I just thought about what I'd do in a situation where I was being stalked by a mad bemasked person with ambiguous intentions. XD

why would they call the cops? i was saying why wouldn't they take tim prisoner rather than just leave him there if alex knows he was following him

now that i think about it, doesn't alex say "He won't be following us anymore" - doesn't this imply that he was following alex? how could he do that when he was stalking out jay, who lives a large distance away from alex

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
On the DVD, in the special features, it has some raw footage from that scene where it isn't so blurry and distorted, and it's much clearer that it is the same mask from 41.

I also don't buy into the theory that Jessica is Hoody. I know that we shouldn't base our theories on the physical appearance of Hoody, but don't you think that if Troy wanted the character to be revealed later as a female character he wouldn't have himself and/or Tim sit in for that part?

This.

But we can't imply that. Yes, it might be a logical conclusion, but it's only one possible conclusion. At best, all we really know for sure is that Tim had mental issues prior to Alex's project. What that actually means is still open to interpretation until we get more information about it. It could mean that he had contact with the Operator previously, or it could be that his mental issues protected him from being controlled like Alex has been. The latter was a popular theory during season one.

Logistics of keeping a crazy ex-friend locked up in your house? Might be kind of complicated. And if he ever does escape, you're in even more trouble than you were before. XD

As for the rest of your post, I'm assuming Alex had been keeping an eye on the Marble Hornets channel the whole time.

Very true. It was just one of my many interpretations.

I'm wondering if the hospital is a connection point. What if all the characters have this common connection. What if they've been selected from childhood, all were at the hospital when it lit on fire and the Operator first marked them. Their minds have just repressed or been changed so they don't remember.

I agree. That trope has been horribly cliched by now.
