Just found another interesting cultural tidbit:

The Pleiades constellation is associated with the Annunaki, or the seven judges of hell, in Sumerian mythology. They are considered the Sumerian version of the Fates.

Don't know if this is related, but I think comparative mythology has some bearing here.

I finally called **weyland myself, there's a lot of stuff in there. It says to hold because they're busy, then plays a bunch of adds for their products. They mention going to weylandindustries.com to learn more about a round of investments that has just opened. There is a phrase in french during the ad for the "Broca Dialetical Implant" Anyone speak french? It ends with some distortion noise and some breathing noises. It really bothers my that they have this weird reality going on where an investor can go and visit for information, but to get the information they have to guess a password.

During the trailer when it shows David's HUD, it shows three language codes: ENGL, FRA, and HUL. HUL apparently stands for Hula, which is spoken in Papa New Guinea and maybe Hawaii.

Eridu has also been proposed as a location for the Tower of Babel, which was where languages supposedly diverged so no one could understand each other.

This Broca Dialectical Implant seems like a device that allows someone to have something translated on the fly, so that the effects of the Tower of Babel would be reversed.

Since they keep redirecting us to the David-8 video, how about David the biblical king? Here’s a quote from the book of Samuel (1 Samuel 16 verses 10 – 13). It’s interesting that this David is son number 8.
