Am I the only person who doesn't like this?
I'm on minute 37 and I am bored out of my mind. I'm fine with buildup, there was that story told around minute 13 and that was it. To me, it's as if they were actually filming a documentary, got bored, and decided to add a few "scares". I know apparently there is something good at the end, but I can't wait another hour to watch whatever the heck it is. One out of five.
EDIT: I watched the rest of it.
I'm not changing a word of what I've said before.

I'm surprised this is getting such negative reactions here. I mean come on. Were you expecting a masterpiece or something. This is better than most of the Slender Man vlogs and stuff I've seen.
I guess I'll critique the movie step by step.
First off my biggest problem. The Marble Hornets like opening. I saw this and right away went to close the tab. Can't stand rip offs. I stuck with it, but swore if I saw the Operator symbol I would stop and flip a table. Thankfully this wasn't really a rip off of Marble Hornets.
The characters were pretty good IMO. Kinda basic, but not bad. The only real bad acting was from the 2 actors. The guy with the shades trying to host and the girl in the canoe. Those parts were pretty awful, but the rest was average to even good.
I really liked the beginning and build up. Like the subtle introductions to the characters and the excuse to film. Really liked the part when the main guy was asked why he was filming and said he wanted something other than footage of him sitting around or something. I don't like random having the camera on.
It took too damn long to get to the action though. I'm all for build up, but there is a limit. If there was something more interesting going on during the build up like some funny conversations or some light drama than that'd be better. Should have been used for better character detail. Relationships between the cast too. I wasn't sure where everyone stood for a while. Cut out the canoe part or the woods part with the guy doing the takes. Shorten the interview with the fat guy. It felt like it was 15 minutes too long.
Campfire part was good. Interesting stuff. Don't like the name for Slender Man, sounds too much like Wendigo which I know from X-Men as a big hairy beast. Still I like that it wasn't named the Slender Man.
Once it all picks up it was fun. The Slender Man was great and I loved that he moved.
I think the funky animations were too over done. It works for Marble Hornets cause those are roughly 5 minute entries and not too much. This gave me a head ache and took me out of the film. Jumped around a bit much confusing me, but that is not really a bad thing since I think I am supposed to be a bit disoriented.
Hated the swimming part and everything after that to finding the dead girl. Made no sense to me. Why is he swimming. Why did that guy kill the girl? I thought Slender Man did for sure. I loved the guy getting saved by the fat man only to get kidnapped by him. Great surprise to me.
When the guy goes into the kitchen to get ready for torture was my favorite part. The door moving on it's own confused me. Does the Slender Man have mind powers? Why go after the fat guy? Liked the blood flowing though.
Slender Man looked great in the window. Good jump scare. Again HATED the colors of the film changing. First it ruined the look and second it is too close to Marble Hornets. Lemme go a little further on that...
I believe that there is no Slender Man canon. Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. If someone wants to have him fly, go for it. Tentacles? Optional man. There is no set thing other than tall thing guy in suit with no face. That is Slender Man. An almost blank canvass. As far as I know Marble Hornets came up with the ideas for teleporting, messing up cameras and stuff, cryptic messages sent from a third party, and the Operator symbol. Don't like when people borrow from another story. The symbol is freaking awesome and perfectly fitting, but if I was ever gonna make a vlog I'd never use it. Then again this is all my opinion.
Where was I? Oh the kitchen. Guns were pretty random and felt forced, but the action was good. The towns people confused me, but them not having faces and being like minions is cool. (I came up with that damn idea a long time ago when I first discovered Slender Man) However it wasn't really well explained. That would have been great for the earlier build up. Explain more stuff. I don't need to be spoon fed, but don't just throw cool shit in there.
Not clear why the main guy turned at the end. Random to me. I think he just snapped and went crazy or something.
Hated Slender Man dying in the fire. Really lame. I got the feeling that you wanted some closure with him. Not easy, but I think it was a pretty bad concept and execution.
The little fight scene was a bit cheesy, but I enjoyed it. Liked the truck fight.
Then I hated the interrogation. Felt super fake and unneeded. I think a better ending would have been if the guy lost his face on the truck. Like if his friend punched him and he hung over the edge of the car and then came back with no face. Have his friend knock him off then and end it there with the explanation of the town being empty.
Overall...Good.
I've seen much worse things on TV. This kept me pretty entertained and interested.
More impressive is that this is the first full length Slender Man movie. Kudos. Quite the accomplishment. It seems pretty daunting to me.
Great job and honestly....I'd kinda like to see you do another Slender Man movie. Something different and not related in any way. Start from scratch. You've got the talent, I think you just need a little better concept, Even though I complained, those were almost all minor problems that didn't really hurt the movie.

In my opinion, stay away from slendy in your next picture, cause the fanbase won't accept any thing less then perfect, and you have to much talent to through it away on slendy, when you should work on developing a film portfolio.

I don't know....I thought it was great, and I love the idea of you making another one with a whole new concept and the Slenderman again with lessons learned, but at the same time it'd be cool if you went to something else....

I really have to disagree with the recent comments on this one. This movie makes me want to a That Guy With The Glasses type review, I don't like it that much. I think these guys can make a good movie, just stay away from Slender Man or better yet horror movies in general and forget this one existed. I really, really don't like this.

There are a lot of things that can be explained away by budget. Special effects (which were decent but not good) and actors (which were bad but not terrible), for example. Maybe some things that weren't explained were there because of an attempt to create ambiguity. Okay, fine. I respect that. That's a good reason.
But there's one thing there's really no excuse for: the terrible pacing. I seriously would have cut out half of this movie. It's an hour before things actually start picking up. People complain about the ending, but I actually enjoyed it. You know why? Because something actually happened in the end. There's some foreshadowing early on, but the whole thing is paced so poorly with so little establishing of characters that it was a chore to sit through it until the end.

I honestly skipped ahead until they were in the woods.
