Can I say my opinion of when the next season will start. Most of us say march, but why would he put it off that far, and heavily hint at it, if the slightest conflict or problem could push it back further. I'm guessing it's going to be in a few days, because he would not hint to film date, unless it would be ready in a few days.

Troy said on Tumblr that they were finishing up "pre-production", which implies that filming hasn't started. Or maybe it has and they're just wrapping up the script and locations for later entries. I don't really know.

The first "teaser" image for Season 2 was posted just about a month before the first entry of that season. But then again, everything is supposed to be more fast-paced now, so I'd say we're looking at either very late February or early March.

Agree on the cameras - the video camera that Amy found seemed to bring the Operator back to Alex. And I thought one of the items in the case looked like an old film holder. I might be wrong, my significant other thought it might be a lens holder. The farthest to the left item in the very front.
I wonder what is in the long case right behind it, I'm not familiar with that shape.

just have to question why tim would be selling his camera almost a year after we've last seen him (chasing jay out of the hotel) - you'd think he'd do it way sooner than that.

it would be pretty cool to reveal that in the year jay was unharmed/untouched by the operator, it went after tim and tim has a bunch of tapes full of video that took place over the year we missed

That would also be the easiest way to give some proper answers on the situation, given that it's the last season, without it coming across too contrived or expositional. I'm not smart enough to come up with my own theories so I'm gonna just adopt yours.
