Alright. This is my first post, but it's gonna be a long one. I've taken the liberty of putting all the messages we've got so far together, and trying to rearrange them into the correct order. Here's what I have so far.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
E-mail from Patricia to Caroline:
Caroline, please call me Patricia. I wanted to speak with you directly about the NorBAC staff issues, but I heard that your phone line hasn't been set up yet at home. As you know, in our conversations regarding the budget, we decided that it was much more important to ensure that the laboratory was equipped properly according to Dr. Sandstrom's specifications. This meant that the finances could not sustain a large scale recruitment campaign, but instead rely upon the contacts associated with NorBAC and word of mouth within the industry. No doubt you've noticed the buzz around NorBAC's inauguration in the press, and I wanted to congratulate you for the quotation in the Toronto Star. We'll have to be careful about our presence in the media, but you handled it perfectly. Another reason that our incoming resumes has been reduced is that Dr. Sandstrom has selected some key members of previous teams to join him in NorBAC. Very soon you should expect contact from Dr. Smelnikov, Tran, and Khan, who will be working as biochemist, bioinformatician, and virologist, respectively.
E-mail from Caroline to Patricia:
You're right. I can't seem to sit at home and wait for the installation crew to arrive, so my phone has been delayed. Perhaps it will be easier to reach me at the NorBAC construction site, since I have spent my spare time overseeing the plans. I wasn't aware that Dr. Sandstrom was planning to recruit staff members directly without meeting first. It was my understanding that our working relationship would fall down scientific and administrative lines. Honestly, I'm a little surprised that we couldn't discuss this after NorBAC's inauguration.
E-mail from Patricia to Caroline:
Caroline, I understand your concerns and completely agree. These new NorBAC staff members were a part of the final negotiations with David. He's worked with each of these staff on some of the pivotal research that established his career, and each are especially talented in their field. We oversaw each candidate during our meetings with Dr. Sandstrom and reviewed their profile. I've attached them for your files, but I was sure you'd agree the committee made a quick decision to make sure we landed Dr. Sandstrom and we are positive that you'll enjoy working with all of them. If you are looking for any local contact, give them a shout. They all seem eager to begin work and look forward to meeting with you. Just so that you know, Dr. Melnikov may not be the best tour guide until he gets more comfortable with the laboratory. Dr. Sandstrom let us know that his Asperger's Syndrome is exactly there as on he is currently working on his third doctorate, but hinders him in unfamiliar social situations.
E-mail from Caroline to Patricia:
Patricia, thank you for putting me in touch with the emerging NorBAC staff. I have taken a look at the profiles that you sent, and I must admit that I may have reacted differently. I am certain that each of them lives up to their reputation in the scientific community, but I hope you don't mind me using some professional contacts for background checks. It's nothing I haven't run on our current personnel and is quickly becoming my NorBAC protocol for new hires. Something in particular has caught my eye regarding Dr. Khan, but more immediately obvious in Dr. Trans profile, is her volunteer public advocacy work. I will have to discuss her politics to understand her stance on working for a government department in such a sensitive area. Thank you for the information about Dr. Melnikov. I have done a little research and will make sure to deal with him accordingly. Don't worry; none of these are a major concern until I've met with the scientists directly. I'm sure they'll turn out fine. In the future, I must insist that I stay informed of all personnel changes if I am to maintain NorBAC's integrity. I hope you understand.
---Possibility that one that we don't have from Patricia goes here---
E-mail from Caroline to Patricia:
Please respond as soon as you can. I have suspicions that NorBAC's security has been compromised, and that many of the existing documents may have made their way into the public domain. I am speaking with our in-house technical team, but I am concerned that confidential information may have leaked into the wild.
E-mail from Patricia to Caroline:
Caroline, I just got your note. I'm not sure what it's about, but I will wait for your reply. Has someone broken into the construction site? Has anyone been harmed? Has the technical team altered the security system? Please write back immediately. I'm not sure what to think.
E-mail from Caroline to Patricia:
Patricia, everyone is fine. No one has broken into us physically. This is all virtual security, so the technical team has locked down the server. For the intranet, the breach has been sealed...but in the interim, much of NorBAC's internal communication was downloaded to third-party websites. In particular, I wanted to alert you to sciencesucks.com, who has made these documents available to the public. They do not offer any permanent contact information on their whois registry, except the following administrative contact: The Bleeding Edge of Open-Source Software, ScienceSucker.
E-mail from Patricia to Caroline:
Well, good news and bad news. I'm relieved to hear that nothing has happened there in person but it is troubling to know how much information could be floating around on NorBAC. Leave this with me for a while. I will break the news to the committee and find some answers for you soon.
---Possibility that one that we don't have from Caroline goes here---
E-mail from Patricia to Caroline:
Thanks for your call. Now that I'm at my desk and had a look at the site, I see what you mean. I think it's best for everyone if we just begin with a clean slate for NorBAC. There's no telling who might be involved on a public forum like that, and now that our security measures are finalized, our confidentiality policy will be much simpler to enforce. I appreciate the international issues that this could have raised. It's wonderful to see this collaboration is already supported on both sides. Thanks again, and I look forward to your arrival.

I noticed in that first e-mail, they mention a quote in the Toronto Star. There is an article about norbac there, but it's just a story about the show and the game.
Above, i s the link if anybody wants to read it.
Edit: Embedded long URL. -SpaceBass

Platypus Zero,
The only reason the applet may not work is if you do not have java installed. You can download java at www.java.com using the "get it now" button on that page.
Other then that the applet should work.

Congress woman Schuler I am a little disturbed at the small number of resumes we have received at the norbac mailbox has there been a problem with your internal recruitment I can offer my public sector contacts if it will help but I wanted to discuss it with you beforehand specifically I would like to complete the hiring procedure before dr Sandstroms arrival so that we can begin as soon as possible he doesnt need to be burdened with the extra task of staffing the lab thankyou for the lovely package I am adjusting to toronto life quite quickly its not the most remote place I've ever lived a year in the middle of the pacific ocean was a bit much and the warm fall we've had until recently has made house hunting a pleasant experience.
BTW, this one looks like it sits at the top of the list as all names are given formally.
