Because I check every day and see this:
Every day? Really? My computer desk is the widow's peak of the internet.
I feel pathetic and I'm done.
Someone tell me when he's back (if he ever comes back). I'm pissed now and if it ever starts up again, I don't know how much I'll even care. Probably a lot, because I'm a huge nerd. He knows that and is counting on it, I'm sure. But for now, I'm sick of being disappointed.

It's a Festivus miracle!!!
It's on.
p.s.- The EXIF data of the new image says it was created on Sept 2, the same day the unaltered image went up with "husband" added...suggesting he created them simultaneously...from which we could infer this sabbatical was actually planned. Hrm.

Oh Hats... Stop trying to make me make bad jokes about you not being finished with your drawing of a giant word labia.
I honestly thought Hats would be gone for even longer than this. Yay for being wrong.
@airportdisco I knew you would never quit hatshoe!

nosferatu or nostrodamus i am not able to play much and was not ever very good at it, but i am fairly confident that the woman in "nosferatu" meant to say "nostrodamus"; and was hoping to get some benefit from the blatancy of the error (a la "there is no e in cobain")
thanks for the heads up apd; good to see you back also going up; maybe hatshoe is riverman (stickstream)

poetry miles to go before sleep a current jeep ad has a quote from this poem, and made me think of watcherofcarl's twitter post of october 3rd.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

So some time ago, I sent HS this message:
I wrote:
Friend,
Past experiences would lead me to believe that you, like myself, are a person of erratic sleep schedules, so I'm assuming you're up right now and will receive this in a timely manner.
(I just misspelled "receive" like I do every single time I spell it. Thanks, squiggly red line and fuck you brain.)
Your site (as you know) came back up about a week and a half ago and this pleased me to no end. Since then, I've been pawing over everything again, waiting patiently.
I'm by no means out of patience, but the thought occurred to me tonight: What if we're picking up right where we left off and I'm supposed to be doing something?
So I guess my question to you, friend, is this -
Should I be searching or waiting?
t
p.s. - Glad to have you back. I'm assuming this happened only because you got burnt out on GoW3 (which suspiciously came out the day your site went down) which made way for Skyrim which you have no also gotten burnt out on. I have no idea how you fit in Arkham City but I hope you did.
Hatsy, after a long while, sent this in reply:
Hatshoe wrote:
You are a friend, so I will tell you in advance.
I wished for Lucius Fox.
He was absent, but mentioned.
"Didn't you get the memo?"
(randum)
Because of the "You are a friend, so I will tell you in advance" line, I didn't share this publicly when it was received. I thought it might be one of the weird "trust exercises" that played out in the very beginning of the game. That it was referring to something that would be posted on the index soon and at that point, I could share my valuable insight.
Turns out that my not sharing was a mistake. Because you guys would have figured this out in 5 minutes flat. Me? Well, the less said about me the better.
After responding to HS with a letter quite frankly too dumb to post (in light of everything), I received this last night:
Hatshoe wrote:
The memorandum, (my actual name here) .
THE MEMORANDUM.
are you kidding me? it was that simple?
hurr durr Lucius Fox played this role in blah blah and could be viewed as blah blah. the "randum" thing is weird and obviously misspelled on purpose...i wonder what it could be.
didn't you get the memo? randum.
motherfucking http://hatshoe.org/memorandum.html
Read it over a couple of times.
Right now...this is my theory:
These "journal entries" were not written by HS. They were found and recorded by HS.
Holy hell.
EDIT: Okay...maybe they were written by him in his lucid dreaming or remote viewing or whatever state. his unconscious body is making voice notes or written notes or something. He's off saving worlds while his actual body wonders if Skeletor has a penis. He wakes up and finds these things. These "essays". Based on the problems he's having in his dream-world, he thinks these subconcious ramblings are a key of some sort and we're helping him figure it out.
i don't know, man...

I believe HS has mentioned a page sender and the one who sends videos in the past so this new entry backs that up.

Dude, I know. This has been killing me. It's gonna be something so simple, too.
I just wish we knew if the clue is referring to the name (e.g. the brie, bree thing), the content, or a post that hasn't appeared yet.
My gut is telling me to be on pun alert.
