And now Citizen Spywatch is harassing the Citizen Soldiers by telephone.
The majority of the discussion of their latest (and, to date, most inept) campaign can be found here: Phone call from Spywatch
My contribution to the discussion is as follows:
|Since they used communications channels that were previously established by Citizen Skywatch to distribute this message, we can only assume that Spywatch has infiltrated the ranks of the Citizen Elite. I doubt any but they would have had access to the communications systems used when Citizen 13 was on the run.
I have managed to make a recording of the message delivered by these persons. I am attempting to decipher it, but I have noticed something rather unusual about the speaker - he seems to have a British accent, as well as typically British mannerisms of condescension. Most suspicious indeed.
EDIT: Here's what I've been able to decipher so far:
"This is a message from Citizen Spywatch."
Hobo*, Jeep°, Pictureˆ, Easy, Palª, Jokeˉ, Easy, Victor, Care†, Care†, Dog, Cab‡, Dog, Easy, Teacher, Easy, Care†, Victor, Easy, Baker, Charlie, Hobo*, Able, Hobo*, Item, Teacher, Able, Hobo*, Cab‡, Care†, Roger, Palª, William, Loveۚ, Able, George, Major˘, Roger, Major˘, Fox΅, Palª, Eagle¥, Loveۚ.
"SPYwatch, not SKYwatch, darlings! Keep your eyes on the lies!"
* - This might be "Oboe".
° - This might be "Chief", "Cheap", or "Cheese".
ˆ - This might be "Victor".
ª - This might be "Hal" or "How".
ˉ - This might be "Choke".
† - This might be "Tare" or "Dare".
‡ - This might be "Cap", "Cat", "Gab", or "Nab".
ۚ - This might be "Glove".
˘ - This might be "Danger".
΅ - This might be "Box".
¥ - This actually sounds like "Eoku" to me, but that's not a word.
EDIT THE SECOND:
The number that my telephone call came from was (215) 710-8162. This is, if memory serves, the same number that Citizen Skywatch used for Operation: TOMATO POWDERKEG.
